@jcr8 Ah ok, so I guess Final Fantasy 7 shouldn't be a Final Fantasy game either, right? Because it doesn't place in the same world as the first game, right?
@DruidMettool You explore an interactive world, collect items, and interact with those items to unlock more the world. It's a game. You have direct control of the experience. No quick time events, no cutscenes, you just play. Just because there are no enemies to fight, or no fear of a game over screen, doesn't mean it's not a game. I've played board games where the threat of losing did not exist. You just played it and enjoyed it.
This is a game. Accept it and bask in the fact that we're still making progress with Games being a form of Artistry.
@emperiox It's called Guild Wars 2 because it takes place in the same world with the same races and a continuation of the story. If you ask me, I still have no idea why the first game was even called Guild Wars. As a result, what you said might as well have a similiar argument for Final friggin Fantasy.
@LS-Chaos Well, the Open World part has already been confirmed, so you'll get that at least, and as for a Darker story, come on, this is supposed to be a fairy tale that children can enjoy too, Twilight Princess was an exception because the kids can handle it, because Nintendo doesn't talk down to children.
As a critic who reviews many Nintendo games, I am not only completely against this, but disgusted.
I work really hard to make my videos as enjoyable as possible, and I'm making a living of of my reviews. The fact that Nintendo wants to take my food money away is detestable, and I will NOT stand for it!
