I sure hope the game in question is nothing like this video. I think about one tenth of it was actually game material. I'll go out on a limb and say that gamers are not interested in shots of this bearded oxygen thief posing with a cup of coffee, but rather in the game itself. A behind-the-scenes look is only interesting when the production in question is a hit, not before it has been released and, furthermore, before it is well-received. Show us the game, not your dumbass studio. Also, this chick looks way too prissy. I'd rather see a Lara Croft that's more on the tough side, not some runway hooker. But, that's just me.

@cfstar I agree. "Unattractive" makes me wonder if it was a graphical style that Carolyn took exception too, or if the actually quality (as in 'resolution) of graphics were lacking. Otherwise, great review. I'll probably burn many an hour on this one.

@ExplicitMike Hmm. Honestly, I didn't give the entire Saints series the shot it probably deserves. I hear you on that. Games like that deserve respect because they take a formula that clearly works (vis-a-vis GTA) and improve on it. 'Member when they were callin' all modern, open-world styles a 'GTA-clone.' Imma check out Sants. Also, I thought the Crackdown franchise was pretty badass, too.

@MooncalfReviews That's well-said. All respect to all reviewers, both professional and hobbyist, but I feel like those who make a living reviewing games can be a little more harsh in their scoring. In the end, I think the critical media can never be completely consistent because of human nature itself. For me, I try to look for well-written, articulate posts (like yours) submitted by gamers like me (that is to say, hobbyist). Also, I wish they had a network based on games that you liked in comparison to those you did not, cross-referenced with those of players with similar reviews. The resultant database would save discerning gamers a lot of heartache, I believe.

Am I a jerk is this seems kinda like the Just Cause franchise? I liked both of those games and even the Saint's Row series, but, for me, it's always gotta come back to GTA. I guess I'm gettin' old, but the original will always be the best. There's just something about the attitude and theme in those games that no one else seems to get completely right. Can anyone relate?

Wow, lightbulbs on the chandelier? Really? Who green-lighted this thing? Honestly, why do they bother? I was looking forward to this game, but a half-assed trailer like this makes me wanna change my mind.

That's the reason you pay for your XBOX live, so this kind of thing doesn't happen. Furthermore, as Nixon said: 'It's not the crime, it's the coverup.' Why did it take SOE so long to admit that credit card information had been compromised? SOE's security was obviously not up to par. Why is that? Fact is, SOE can never be trusted again. The position Sony is in is no surprise from the 3rd most popular console in the world. Cry me a river, fanboys.
