Don't buy one now. PS4 and Xbox One are going to have a crappy 2014.

Aside from a few titles like Drive Club and Sunset Overdrive, there won't be any notable exclusives for those systems this year. The great games that are actually set for 2014 are almost all multi-platform, so if you're lucky enough to have a PC for those, you're good on that side. But even if you don't have a gaming PC, stick with the 360/PS3 gen for now. Pick up the games from the 7th gen that you might have missed since they'll be much cheaper. Regardless of whether you own a 360, PS3 or Wii, there are a lot of hidden gems that you probably missed upon release, so you'll find great stuff for a decent price.

And if you absolutely have to have a new console this year, get a Wii U. It actually has a stable and impressive 2014 lineup, one with exciting games that are exclusive, and as a result, will justify your console purchase.

Hope that helps.

ooo i feel sorry for you if you think that's all these system if offering this year

on top of the games that won't be exclusive to the new systems, the cross gens will be better on the x1/ps4

Cross gen games are the worst reason to buy a PS4 or Xbox One because you can get those games on the 360 and PS3. I do not recommend buying a $400+ system for something you can already get on the previous generation, especially if the major upgrade is that cosmetic. And the multi-platform games will not be exclusive, whether cross-gen or just on PC.

What I'm saying is that you don't buy a console for what you can get on another; exclusives drive the sales of a system. Always have, always will. That's why the Mario VS Sonic argument was so big in the 90's; kids were trying to prove their console's exclusive franchise was better than the other.

By the time the really good exclusives for PS4 and Xbox One come out (aka 2015), the systems will either:

A) Have a price cut or lower-priced model

B) Have launch window titles that dropped in price over time (so you don't have to spend $60 on Infamous: Second Son)

Like I said, the Wii U is the only system of the three that has a solid 2014 lineup packed with cool stuff you can only get on that system. People bought Wii U's for Mario Kart 8 because you can't get that game on any other system, and with Smash Bros., Bayonetta 2, and Hyrule Warriors on the way, the holiday season is secure for them. And 2015 is looking good for the Wii U too with Star Fox and Xenoblade Chronicles X on the way. It's the only system that I can recommend buying right now.

The PS4 and Xbox One will get their share of awesome exclusives like Bloodborne and Halo 5 to name a few, but I honestly can't justify buying either of them at this point in time. It's best to wait.

Not everyone can be successful like me.

You're more successful than Sony is with the Vita. :D

Nope. Got over 100 games coming out in 2015 and was best selling in Japan last month.

How many of those are original games, aka not buggy ports of two-year-old games or indie games that are available cheaper on Steam?

Sony refuses to support the Vita, which is a shame because the system is awesome. Excellent hardware aside from the rear touch pad. And if Sony really wants to sell the Vita as a remote play companion primarily, they should drop that price like a rock. No one will pay $200 for a companion device. No one.

Freedom wars.

People who think that vita has no games aren't paying attention.

It has games. Just none from Sony themselves. If you like Japanese games or indie games, you'll find them on Vita, but anything else? Not a chance.

But to answer the topic question, Murasaki Baby hands-down.

Way too much. This is Sony's replacement for traditional backwards compatibility, ladies and gentlemen. It should be $35 at the absolute most, yet people will still buy it at this price.

Didn't a judge just recently shoot down another patent troll case from Philips against Nintendo?

We have the Steam Summer Sale, something consoles don't. So, no, we're not mad.
