No one on xbox live and too repetitive.

This game is, of course, a classic and I have especially enjoyed its later additions, but Gauntlet by itself isn't worth your Microsoft points. It is simply too late to get this game. First of all, no one plays Gauntl... Read Full Review

    The Red Warrior Remembers

This was the game to play at the arcade and being able to play the game at home made it so much sweeter. Just one more level...just one more stageboss.... The story was fun and the characters were exactly what you ... Read Full Review

Gauntlet isn't bad, but the gameplay is repetetive and it will eat up a lot of quarters.

Pros: Funny looking characters | Beating things up can be fun sometimes | Long game. Cons: Gameplay is repetetive | If you're not playing it at home, then you'll lose a lot of quarters. Ok, first of all, I'd like t... Read Full Review

    The fab four returns!

Back when video games were somewhat new, there were few that matched Gauntlet in terms of fun, popularity, and absurdity. The old days of stinky, dark, dank, noisy video game arcades are gone now...But that doesn't mean ... Read Full Review

Gauntlet...when I hear that word I think of the old school four player game where you can play and have fun for hours. This is what I thought when I was seven, so when I saw it I thought that it would be the same awesome ... Read Full Review

This is the HOME VERSION ! Blecch !

Okay folks, be fairly warned before slapping down your hard-earned MS Points for Gauntlet on XBLA. This is the home version, NOT the arcade version. Which means, duller graphics, less complex levels and a "cheape... Read Full Review

Just like the classic arcade game

When I was younger, much younger, I loved going to the arcade and playing Gauntlet with my friends. It was a simple, yet challenging game that ate through my allowance like a termite through wood. The port to the 360... Read Full Review

The multiplayer gameplay is still awesome, but loses some its charm in single-player mode. Bonus nostalgia points.

Blue Wizard needs food badly. These words will elicit a smile from any gamer from the late 80's, when Gauntlet was in arcades nationwide with four controllers. This is a strong port to the NES, and playing with friend... Read Full Review

my favourite game as an . child

Many many hours spent walking round dungeons this game was purely addictive. The aim of the game was to destroy all the monsters on the level and find the warp point to the next dungeon. I played this game many times and... Read Full Review

“Gauntlet,” for its limited graphics and hopelessly repetitive gameplay was an extraordinarily fun game.

I fondly remember crowding around the Apple II with three friends for a rousing game of “Gauntlet.” At the height of its popularity, “Gauntlet” couldn't be topped. The players would each assume the role of one of four ... Read Full Review
