Congrats! :D What cpu cooler did you get? Because that 2500k simply HAS to be oc'd!

I have the Cooler Master Vortex Plus. My Intel stock fan was dead on arrival, piece of crap didn't work.

Or even better, get the Hyper 612 PWM. It performs much better than the 212, and it`s not expensive. Also the 212 is DHT, which is a pain when applying thermal paste.

I only have a laptop and a desktop, I always use my laptop while my parents tend to use the desktop more often than me. :P

Oh, well if you don`t know how to apply thermal paste on DHT you should look it up. the way you apply it makes a big difference. :)

Oh, well if you don`t know how to apply thermal paste on DHT you should look it up. the way you apply it makes a big difference. :)

Lol, I don't think I go over 60 degrees even around 4.0ghz. I'll have to check.

I think I'm going get myself a GTX 460. I knew my GTX 550 Ti consumes a ton of power from the start. . . hell, it was within my budget. But I had no idea how much better the 460 is compared to it. Even though the 460 consumes more power than the 550, which was my main concern with the 550, I can't pass it up. It's the same price I paid for the 550.

I think I'm going get myself a GTX 460. I knew my GTX 550 Ti consumes a ton of power from the start. . . hell, it was within my budget. But I had no idea how much better the 460 is compared to it. Even though the 460 consumes more power than the 550, which was my main concern with the 550, I can't pass it up. It's the same price I paid for the 550.Racer_XLR
It's better but not a huge upgrade. Having 2 like me is a serious upgrade however since it does SLI.

The best game i've ever played.. EVER! It's beyond amazing! :D It's also 2D, so it'll run on any PC.

Yeah, I need a good card that compliments my FX-4100. I know, I know, Intel still has better CPUs available, but hey, I want to stick with it. For now. . . :P

I rarely know any who has a Bulldozer, you're one of the few. I used to be with AMD mostly, then I switched to Intel this month and this i5-2500k blew me away.

I don't blame anyone for not buying them. They really don't perform any better than the Phenom II processors. *shrugs* And, lol, I'm shaking my fist at you right now. That's a damn fine cpu.

What's the average price for 2 TB hard drives nowadays and for 256 GBs SSDs? Need to do some upgrades. Actually, I need 2 TB for my music (which is in lossless), and I really want this computer to actually be fast, so I was planning in reinstalling everything in a SSD.

2 550tis are around a 570, maybe a little worse. 2 6950s would be complete ownage.
