How often do you change CPU, GPU and so on mitu? horgen123Normally every 2+ years or so.
No AM3+? In most benchmarks the 8150 is worse than the i5-2500k, plus my bros can have my AM3+.[QUOTE="Sandulf29"][QUOTE="mitu123"]Where is 2nd? Need to tell him that I'm getting an i5-2500k soon.mitu123

I had some hopes for this new line. Too bad. Looks like AMD will never catch up with Intel It's impossible now seeing how even Piledriver is said to be only 10-20% faster than Bulldozer, and then Ivy Bridge comes out in the spring and is 20% faster than Sandy Bridge.I remembered when AMD kicked Intel's ass back in the day until 2006 when Core 2 Duo was made and since then Intel just got better.Â

Most of us only wants a computer that works and isn't underpowered for casual thingshorgen123Knowing about the cpu is so simple, since when you buy a PC you'll either see Intel or AMD. Compared to other components it's the simplest thing, hell, you'll see freaking logos under the keyboard on laptops.

Simple: Right Click My Computer, and then click Properties, and the type of cpu is listed. I knew this when I was 12, lol.

[QUOTE="mitu123"]Then what's the problem?horgen123I meant as in what is a good Intel processor, what is a bad one? That knowledge I don't have, and I don't think I will get it either since you have update it so many times through a year Look at the numbers dude, the higher the better, lol.

The Core 2 Quad processor I have is a bit dated now, but it has been serving me well for quite a while.
I think he meant updating as to know each cpu every year as in what comes out and is better.
If he meant updating as in upgrading hardware every year which I doubt, then lol, only if you get cheap hardware, expensive ones do last for years. If i had 2 GTX 570s I wouldn't upgrade for years.
Haha now that I read it again I can see that he probably meant updating knowledge rather than hardware.I think he meant updating as to know each cpu every year as in what comes out and is better.

I wonder how do you Rick Rolls? :P Still probably against the ToU to post those links though. Toph_Girl250Is even mentioning the word Rick Roll a violation of the ToU though? :o I hope not. Shouldn't be bad as long as I'm not providing a link to it as it is a virus, can't ever X of out of it and requires computer shutdown.

Toph_Girl250Mentioning rickrolling is not a violation, but posting such links is still considered disruptive because of the misleading nature of rickrolling, so don't do it.

Its quite fortunate my laptop's hard drive has still held out for more than a year and a half. Much better than the last hard drive that got replaced in the beginning of July 2010, it broke down only about 6 months since I first got my red laptop I'm using now, which was probably around Christmas 2009. the repair man who replaced my hard drive said that models made around December 2009 weren't that good, a lot of reports were made that the hard drive broke down rather quickly, or the keyboard got disabled where you couldn't type anything at all.Toph_Girl250I want to know what brand that hard drive...it matters, a LOT!!!
I got a WD external disc. I might a new one soon, with 2TB or so. horgen123I was gonna get one too, but i got 1TB instead because their prices doubled. :(

That doesn't help for hard drives, there are many ways to identify hard drives, using Speccy, a program, is one of them.
At least you have Windows 7 and an Intel laptop.Â
Hey Harry, do you know about my new specs?mitu123Do you have a laptop at home or do you only have/use a desktop?
