The real answer is who really gives a damn about what a console looks like. It is what is on the inside that matters. And the PS4 sucks less then the Xbox One does.

The only reason the xbox one is more expensive is that it has kinect in it. Both consoles have nearly identicle hardware with only minor differences compared to last gen.

Xbone is the ugliest game system ever made. It is big and ugly and still has a power brick. It looks like a VCR and air conditioner.

Honestly? The one looks like a VCR player without any personality. It's just black and silver, evoking a heavy industrial feel. Thats okay if i'm looking for a professionally functional product, but this is for my personal entertainment center.

I want something that has a bit more personality than that, that can compliment me more. The slanted look provides a better look from multiple angles, and the blue light compliments the console with a stylish light strip that lets you know its functioning. And because it's for my personal use in my personal space, i'd prefer something a little smaller that takes up less space. As someone who has more space than others, it isn't such a big deal. But for the majority who may or may not, a smaller piece of equipment is just more considerate.

Everyone I knew had an Xbox or two or three, and I don't think I've ever heard any of them mention that.

That's probably why I never heard of it is it came so late.

I think I was playing WoW by then, and basically all other forms of gaming were non-existent to me at that point :P

I think the XONE design is good. I like squary-ish forms. So I think XONE doesn't look that bad. But I don't think the design is awesome. It's just simple.

And who knows? its still too early to tell which console is better built. That said after what happened at the beginning of the 360s lifecycle I dont trust Microsoft to do good a job in this.
