Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the rumble that will make fanboys humble. Today we have two sure fire world champions squaring off in a battle of the ages. Only one contender can win (in the eyes of a fanboy) and tonight we will be treated to the greatest poliginal fight EVER!!!!!!

In the white trunks is the bad mamma jamma, if you own him you love him, if your a fanboy you hate him. Don't put him in a  warm place or he might take a trip to Texas..... it's the XBOX 360!!!!!!!!!!

In the black trunks is the most hated and talked about opponent of all time, sporting 8 ppu's, he's the man with the future plan, he is the one and only......PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is up to you (fanboys) to throw the punches. (one liners and jokes)  Just leave your best shot in written form, and only things that are true will count

LOL!! It's funny that many of the games on all 3 next-gen systems still have the jaggies. I honest don't care, as long as the game is fun to play and isn't over in 3hrs.

xbox 360 has a aceptble price and a good game libary

ps3 had more incoming exclusives

now xbox has most of the games coming for him aswell

ps3 still has MGS FFXIII and the GodOfWar franshise

for now the 360 takes the lead, 3 games arent worth 600$

ps3 is a powerful pretty girl that just beat the crap out of a ugly and weak xbox 360 guy.  it stores its power in each of its 7 lungs, while the xbox 360 vomited from trying to store it all in its 1 lung.  Then the ps3 girl took multiple humongous and hard bricks it crapped and flung them at the xbox 360, while it could only toss 10 times as much super weak bricks.  The xbox 360 managed to shield itself somewhat well with its well constructed exclusive base, while the playstation3 girl was trying to find her hidden potential.  Before they knew it, 5 yrs passed, which found both of them fighting strong and their big sisters got bored over watching, flung them out, and the ps4 and xbox720p began a brawl 1000000000000000000000000000000 times bigger.  THE END

one for games and the otherone for blueray movies right? iam not sayng the ps3 is a bad console it just dosent game the games to make it up for a purchase and only a blind fanboy would deny that, i do not own a ps3 or a 360 and i more a pc gamer then a console gamer but still if i had to buy a gaming console TODAY id go for the xbox without a doubt, i love the FF franshie, MetalGear games and all that stuff but they are not worth 600 bucks

Launch 360 still works (knocks on wood). Halo 3, BioShock, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey. MS wins 2007. PS3 comes back in 2008 for a rematch. It wins 2008 in a split decision. Fans of both consoles win.

Have we really heard enough about the 360 in 2008 that a decision can be made? I say wait until TGS at least, hopefully they will reveal more of a plan then. Just my opinion.

Well, except for another Halo game (and I dont mean RTS) or a new killer app franchise, I see it having a hard time competing against the likes of MGS4, FFXIII, and (gasp) Killzone 2 if Sony can deliver on it. My second most anticipated game for 2008 (next to MGS4) is RE5 and thats multiplat anyway. So maybe MS has some tricks up there sleeve but they better be some pretty impressive tricks to compete with that lineup.

In 5 years time Ps3 and 360 are still fighting valiantly. PS3 got off to a bad start with it poor library of games and large body mass. 360 had already gained momentum with its huge game library and support. However, while these 2 are duking it out, wearing each other down, Nintendo have made a new, better console -Newcomer- Wii2. Wii2 with its HD capabilities, motion control, wifi, large hard drive, and every other feature on the face of the earth OBLITERATES Sony, and seriously damages 360. LOL. It'll happen believe it!

if you want the real knockout punch thenjust say that, statistically, the 360's exclusive launch lineupwas better than the ps3's current lineup. i'm not gonna say that though.CaseyWegner

the system has been out 9 months give me a break. the 360 didnt get its killer app until a year after when GeoW came out. stop being so melodramatic. you people act like youve been waiting for years to play games on it. ill admit it doesnt have a load of GREAT games but they are obviously coming. there hasnt been much of anything great coming out in the last eight months since december for any system.

I have news for you. As far as a system being held back due to lack of power this would actually go the other way around. The Xbox 360 has 512 mb of video RAM for graphics while the PS3 only has half that, 256 mb. That's why the 360 games look better and allways will. Anyone who owned a PC and upgraded the video card to one with twice the memmory will tell you it can make a world of difference. Even if developers sort out the mess of a kit Sony gave them they still have to work with half the video memmory.

The 360 also has an advantage with the processor because it has three cores instead of one. That's three 3.2 GHZ processor's vs. SONY's ONE 3.2 GHZ CPU. The Cell's advantages are ironically not very aplicable to gaming. The one way it excells over the 360 CPU is with it's DSP cores that perform vector and float point math which has nothing to do with graphics whatsoever. That actually would have cool implications for AI. The big difference, especially for the sake of my point in this discussion, is that SONY skimped on video memmory. My guess would be that they wanted to ram Blu Ray down your throats and since those drives are pricey, they had to cut corners.

Not to be a jerk but I have to say that each person who thinks PS3 is more powerful, especially graphically, is ignorant. 360 costs less and has more and better games. Plus in order to make up development costs, many PS3 exclusives have jumped ship and more are following from what I have heard.
