@lostrib: He says between $75m and $100m, according to some stuff i've read Watchdogs weighs in around the $70m mark (probably more now because of the delay) and Destiny allegedly something like $150?
Those are games that weren't remade three times over. Sounds like he somehow managed to keep getting funds on good faith following Stig's success with GoW3.
Sony is not doomed. They are just having issues right now.And here is more info on the situation currently at WWS.This is from the user famousmortimer on neogaf. Take this with a grain of salt.
Stig had to resart his game like three times according to famosmortimer. It failed QA every single time.
That just seems like a lot. I know budgets for AAA games are huge these days, but $100 million for a game that didn't even get off the ground just doesn't make much sense
It probably cost $25 million to recreate the game every single time they restarted.
My little brother is the best, and funniest. He's been very busy running his art galleries. They're becoming more and more popular, so it's good for him.
I can get you both, how about that? All good, man.
No, I just want his. Maybe if he could sign one of his finger paintings. Ill put it on my fridge.
Just his?
Well, that's fine, man. All good. I can get that done. I think he's a bit experienced with finger painting, so we should be able to work something out.
You are dumb. Why don't you man up and at least admit that something seems off instead of trying to spin and make excuses for a company that ultimately doesn't give two s**** about you.

Lol at the lems parading in this thread when this guy was the same creative mind responsible for UC3 for all we know the pressure might have been on him to leave for a while now.
Sony's still got their godly software team, don't worry.
LOL!! Look at cows damaging controlling this. We all know Sony is restructuring, but many of these people who are leaving aren't the ones being laid off. They are leaving on their own free will. Let's see how many more people leave between now and the E3. WHO'S NEXT!!!
Huh...at first I thought all these people leaving was just a coincidence and it probably still is, but damn....they just keep piling up. I don't care whether you are a fan of Sony or not, this harms the overall gaming community more and more each time someone leaves. These people are talented no matter how you try and sugar coat it.
Um you are in this thread. Why don't you do your job.
Thread title say Uncharded 4 director leaves Naughty Dog.
Can you confirm if he was Uncharted 4's director from the link the TC posted because I don't see that anywhere, or are you just going to add on to what is possibly a false and misleading thread?
Excuse me? Lose the attitude for one and two, it clearly is NOT misleading.
The title of the article :
Uncharted 4 Game Director Justin Richmond Leaves Naughty Dog
And the very first paragraph:
Justin Richmond, who was working on Uncharted PS4 as game director, has left developer Naughty Dog.
This. If he would have clicked the link, then he would have noticed his arrogance.
The link took me straight to IGN's home page ass, maybe you should stop making assumptions kid.
what I saw when I clicked on the link.
Are you trying to make some kind of point with what you saw on your computer? No he should have directly linked to article he was referring to and there would be no confusion.
Please just stop. Even in your pic above it clearly shows Uncharted in their top spot. Just stop, you were eager to call me out and try and make me look bad and it backfired in the worst way possible for you.
Dude, kill the please stop nonsense.
I asked a question that was not being answered. You posted in this thread after my original question to the TC which had not received a response and made no mention about whether the information was correct nor did you provide a direct link to the article itself. END/
So enough with childish "I gotcha" victory dance. It is not my job to look for a link to a link, nor am i responsible for looking for the information that someone posts a link to. You are taking things so personal and acting irrational because of it. If any mod had posted in this thread and not responded to my question, which was valid since his link was not a direct link to the article he was talking about, then I would have asked if they confirm it as well.
In any and every piece of news that I have ever posted here I always not only post the direct link but I also take out the important quotes from the articles so people don't have to look for it. There was nothing to "backfire" on so stop acting like a jerk just because.
Thinking someone is calling you out? Dude get over it and stop acting like every other fanboy user here. You are a mod, why the hell did you become one if you couldn't respond to issues like this without throwing a fit?
Wow casharmy, did your mom have trouble getting the knot from your panties out? Sure seems like it. Take a chill pill you "dick rider"
1)Uncharted' writer and director Amy Hennig leaves Naughty Dog, reportedly forced out
2)Brian Karis leaves Naughty dog
3)Infamous: Second Son lead designer leaves Sony
4)PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale lead game designer leaves Sony Santa Monica
5)God of War Dev Stig Asmussen Leaves Sony Santa Monica
6)Sony America CEO Jack Tretton Steps Down
7)Superbot layoff
8)Sony Santa Monica layoff
9)Layoffs at Evolution Studios
10)Layoffs at Guerrilla Games
11)Layoffs at SCE London
12)Col Rodgers Is No Longer DriveClub's Game Director
What's strange is 3 people came from Naughty Dog.
13) Justin Richmond at Naughty Dog.
WTF??? If things are going great, people usually don't leave. Maybe salaries were cut or something. We don't know the whole story. If another company offers more money and a more secure job, I can see some developers running for the exits.
Maybe he can help actually balance League of Legends, but I doubt it. The whole game revolving around mobility and flash needs an overhaul and for Riot to allow the meta to breathe a little bit but whatever. Enjoy the cash train while you can because if things don't change at Riot that game is heading for a disaster.
If Uncharted 4 ends up AAAE in spite of all this, I'll be sure to laugh extra hard at the haters salivating and rubbing their hands together over people leaving.

they are "please please that something happens to naughty dog so they don't destroy xbone this gen again!"

to be fair i think he has nightmares with news of ps4 selling more than xbone so that's not really hard.
Nothing is more disturbing than seeing a "gamer" actually wanting a competitor to the company they fanboy over actually fail. If Sony were to tank I'd go full PC because there's no way in hell I'd let Microsoft take the reins. We saw what they tried to pull last year. This is coming from someone that supports all 3 major hardware companies.
quick edit: No one seems to realize that a new fiscal year is starting NEXT WEEK. Also.. I'd guess Sony's first party studios are wrapping up the major work on their first rounds of games. There really isn't much to look into.
