It kinda warms my heart to see that a Mario platformer is still getting hype after all these years. It's like ”Whoooow! This stuff looks amazing! I can jump there? And run around there? And control that?! I can't wait to jump like crazy!”

And everybody sees that a game can be magical without violence, space battles, guns and what not. To be clear, I love games like Devil May Cry, Titanfall 2 and so on. But its nice to see people appreciate these magic moments

I have faith it will be fantastic but I still can't abide Mario running around in a realistic city, gives me the uncanny valley feelings.

I just tried the demo at Target. AAAE game here I think ( 9/10 ).

I'm also keeping my preorder on the Mario Switch bundle. I'm a believer now. I even liked Zelda and I'm by no means a Zelda fan at all. With that and Xenoblade 2 coming out soon along with Mario I feel like Nintendo is gonna crush it this holiday.

To prepare for Odyssey I went back and finally beat Champion's Road in 3D World. Took me seven hours on Sunday but I did it. Bring it on Nintendo!

In St. louis, MO there is. Also my Gamestop (St. Charles, MO ) where I reserved the bundle had a demo. The guy asked me to check it out to see if I still wanted my pre order because I was iffy on it since it was around 380.

AAA... I don't care it looks like fun and when I get a Switch its a must buy.

For me personally, I'm going with AAAA hype and I know it's gonna be a GOAT candidate. I'm expecting a AAA score from GS though.

@hayato_: Huh. That's interesting. Nintendo must be feeling more confident about their shipments if they're supplying demo units; I haven't seen a single one since it launched. Will have to look for the demo next time I'm at GameStop. I still remember stumbling upon a Mario Galaxy demo back in the Wii days, and proceeding to hog it for about an hour, replaying it. Ha

It won't be long now. :)

I wonder how all the changes to the fail-state will work in this game. 3D Mario games have been pretty relaxed in difficulty, so it's interesting to see this game do away with the lives system.

Just for some further clarification. Nintendo games are not known for being very difficult. But the point is. Some game journalists are absolutely terrible at games they are meant to review. Comparatively speaking a movie reviewer, will usually know how to pick a movie apart and analyze the deeper themes behind it.

Tell me this guy did not review Cuphead :/

Cuphead isn't really that hard to beat, you just gotta have good reflexes and timing will get you through this game in no time. The only challenging stage I had problem with is that dragon/three-headed dragon boss fight and even then, it's not really hard once you figure out what the next boss attacks gonna be, it can make it easy on yourself.

It'll get 10 just because it's a Mario game.....

I don't even know what it is myself. Last time I worked on Ubi stuff a few years ago, it was easy to guess, because the super secret code name for the project was "Project Ghosts" lol.

But nah, no idea on this one, today will actually be my first day working on it. Shit's been crazy lately, like a different client every other day. Had to do six expressions to be used in some commercial yesterday. Which was pretty fun actually.

Yeah I was surprised to. The sales person at Gamestop said the rep at Nintendo came in earlier and set up a Kiosk at the beginning of the month with tons of demos. It was no different than the one at Target. I guess they got big shipments in my area for the holidays because every store I've gone to are stocked up Switches and it was easy to just ask to pre order the bundle, although I had to put $60 instead of the usual $5 to pre order it. The demos included Zelda, Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, and splatoon or whatever its called.

I was surprised at how comfortable the joy cons were, but the controller set up didn't bother me as much as it does some people I guess.

Took me seven hours on sunday to beat this. Relaxed my ass.

@Bread_or_Decide: I think the first time around was tricky but I beat it with all five playable characters and again in co-op.

It's the only level I remember finding particularly tricky. The othee hundred levels are very simple. Fun. Super fun, but simple. :P

@Bread_or_Decide: It's not too hard. Once you beat it once and learn the layout, you just do the same thing again with different characters. In some cases it becomes easier with characters like Peach.

It's not very hard but it is very fun.
