I think it will get a 10/10. So far the game looks amazing and I can't wait to get it.

its got a ice level water level, just so many worlds its way too big for a game im stunned

Hell yeah Char, put me down for AAAAE. I have a strong feeling Mario will out do Zelda.

It was a 10/10 last week , but after yesterday's footage, it should be 11/10. To play it safe, ill go with 10/10.

got the game preordered for $40 on amazon. can't beat it at that price and it looks interesting.

So this gen, every single time a game that I'm really looking forward to is around the corner, I get slammed with insane amounts of work.

Happened with MGSV (moving to a new place in another state + fvck tons of work.)

Happened with Nioh and BotW at the same time (moved to a new place + **** tons of work).

It seems Odyssey will be no different lol.

Some of us have seen the light and know that this is just another run of the mill Mario game.

Game screams AAA as i said before , i think if level design is top notch in all regions it is flirting with 10/10.

Gameplay mechanics looking very interesting, thats what definds a good platform and i doubt controls wont me as tight as ever, we talking about mario here.

With that being said i play safe and say AAA but i wont be surprised if games ends up being AAAA in the end, depends from various little things left and right.

I'm playing Super Mario 3D World and it's brilliant. Somehow, I'm having even more fun with it than I did with Galaxy. If they keep that kind of standard with level design, and the new things they are trying work well, then 10 seems likely.

I know it's only like the 1000th Mario game (not literally but you know what I mean) and the sheep are about to explode with excitement.

Lets be honest and say the game will get a 10 here no matter whether it deserves it or not, I just gave it a 6 because from the trailers it looks boring as shit.

If this was on other platforms I would still say that it looks boring as shit. You seem to be trying to make this a fanboy thing, why is that?

I know this might be hard for you to get your brain around, but there are gamers who think Mario is overrated, you know it's just my opinion, no need for you to get upset by it, build a bridge and get over my opinion.

The dripping irony of this statement as you get excited over the tenth Forza game in eleven years cannot be overstated.

What I don't like thus far wold be the dinosaur nor the humans in the city. Hopefully those two things are not too prevalent through out the game because everything else looks solid.

I gotta be honest, I'm not as much of a Mario fan as I used to be. I'm sure the game will be great, but whether it is or not, I don't have the same enthusiasm for the series as most. I also don't think it's going to be enough to drag me away from Splatoon 2.

Yeah, I'll get it and I'll play it (and probably love it). But seriously guys, Splatoon 2 is "da sheeeet" that every switch owner should be playing! :D

Actually it's closer to twelve and a half years (May 05 / Oct 17) but how many Mario games have there been released? I mean it's been milked to death, would you like Mario Golf, Tennis, Olympics, Kart, the shit goes on & on.

Forza is not trying to milk other genres, but call me when we get a Dr Forza game and you might have something lol.

@i_p_daily: Nintendo like to use their most well-known character in many different types of games, but that doesn't mean the Mario platformers haven't evolved and changed things up enough over the generations. Mario being in sport or party games which don't interest me doesn't change that, or even if I was into those, it wouldn't stop the platformers from being fun, or make them stale, because they are completely different types of games. If the Super Mario platformers don't do much for you and you think they are overrated, I understand that, we can all feel that way about some games.

AAA. Kinda sucks that I won't have time to check it out this year. I still haven't finished Mario/Rabbids or opened Zelda BOTW. On top of that, Shadow of War comes out Tuesday and its almost time for midterms. fml.

Ha. Since when do people that play games for a living require such hand holding? As if Mario games have ever been that difficult when not wandering off the beaten path. I wonder how well this is going over in the profession as that's pretty fucking patronizing.

Put me down as AAAAE but to be honest no matter what it scores, it's a first day full price buy for me and I will play it to full completion including side quests and everything.

Let's get things right once and for all. It was YOU who was mad about my comment so much so that YOU needed to put yourself into the conversation and attack me, that there is all the proof needed here. It's ok, it will be alright if someone doesn't like the look of this Mario game, the world will go on tomorrow, toughen up princess.

And it's 11 games in 12yrs, 5 and a bit months, please do not try to educate me of all people on Forza.

The F&F version is a stand alone game that doesn't require FH2 to play it, therefore a game in it's own right, not a long game mind you, but a game none the less.

Nintendo has milked Mario to the maximum. Kart, Golf, Tennis and all the other games he has appeared in prove (to me at least) that he has been milked more than any other game character/franchise that I can think of. To me that's what I call milking, not releasing a game every year, but having a character and putting it in just about every genre you can think of.
