Haha, I remember Burnout Paradise being much better on PS3. Wonder if they patched that D-Pad thingy on 360 though, was years ago. I read somewhere that the PS3 version of Most Wanted is smoother if not a little, but who gives a flip beyond the raging fanboys.

Freshest? Okay, I can agree with that.

But what does that mean? The Pokemon formula has been mostly the same since Red and Blue (and personally I'd say GSC was the freshest generation but that's just me) and has seen, at best, incremental upgrades over the years. Some people are alright with that and clearly, GameSpot reviewers aren't. it's a matter of taste.

I said before that Pokemon's progression over the years has been akin to adding sprinkles and frosting to a cake. You can only eat the same cake with varying levels of sprinkles and frosting for so long before you get tired of it.

By your own admission, Game Freak is not willing to change a multimillion dollar formula and personally, I think that's the problem here. In the end, it's the same formula that's made them millions of dollars over the years and they're extremely hesitant to change it, even if it means injecting some new life into the franchise.

Them taking over the NFS license is probably the best news I've heard all year lol. Wish they were independent like Insomniac though, rare sh!t these days.

And yeah, I don't have much time nowadays so I just buy very few games and 2 multiplayer games, and it seems to always be a shooter and racer among my friends at college lol.

Well Bizarre is defunct therefore I didn't mention them, but yes I agree. PGR4 is one of my favorite racers ever. I feel like Criterion gets too much hate from the actual community who play NFS as they changed up the game (for the good).

The constant complaining and nagging I see on YouTube is just pathetic, almost as much as the fanboys in here.

As we're somewhat on the subject of Racing games (amongst others ofc lol) I really miss playing PGR2. Loved that game, Got the platinum medal in every race except the last.carlisledavid79

PGR2 and PGR4 are definitely my favorites haha. The attention to detail in 4 was superb imo and 2 was just simply one of the best racers I played last gen next to Burnout 3 Takedown, NFS Underground, NFS Most Wanted, GT4 and of course Midnight Club 3 DUB Edtion. ;P

Yeah I dunno, I liked them both equally. Burnout 3 and Revenge were definitely top notch though. Paradise was great and Most Wanted (which is basically Burnout with real cars) seems to be a proper sequel. ;P

You should make them try Most Wanted. Quality is hard to refuse even if you play MW3 all day every day. ;P

At it's core, it's still the same. There were small structural changes here and there: HM requirements dont impede exploration as much as it used to, Rivals weren't exactly 'rivals' in a traditional sense with the franchise, for instance. The biggest thing I found was that I didnt see a familiar pokemon in sight until the main adventure was finished; I didnt even know what my crap was going to evolve into. it kept things a little more interesting--providing a greater sense of discovery than the last pokemon game I played.
