The blame chaz thing stopped being funny this thread. It's almost as unfunny as the "smear campaign"

The smear campaign had its charm for a bit when lems were actually wanting to crucify chaz for making honest threads based on facts. When you have dudes like Nya calling it a smear campaign and being dead serious like in the Just Cause thread, it's hard not to find that shit absurd and funny.

But yeah, the comedic value has run its course. It's like rick rolling someone in 2016.

Exactly when the people who took it seriously were doing it, it was funny. When the lounge was getting in on it, it lost all comedic value.

I set my preorder for Twilight Princess HD within 5 minutes of it going live on Amazon. I now check the ETA on my Prime account and it says Tuesday, March 8th. So I'd miss out on weekend playtime? CSR just goes roundabout telling me it looks like it releases on the 4th, estimated ship date of the 4th or 5th and a delivery date of the 8th.

What the hell, Amazon? Why would I preorder from you if I can't get release day delivery?

@Zassimick: the same thing happened couple weeks back with Fates Special Edition. Except in the end the delay was a single day since it arrived Saturday afternoon. Might happen to you as well.

I get mine this friday, and got lucky snagging the last pre-order copy with the Amiibo today

I'm still pretty pissed that I didn't preorder Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition on time. Then again I shouldn't have to preorder a super limited FULL VERSION of the game. $80 is still gonna be $80 regardless of what I was going to do.

It's just ticks me off to no end knowing that I have a version of a game that will likely down the road not be available to me due to some licensing bull shit or Nintendo shutting down servers and the only way to play the game is to track down a VERY limited version of the game that has all three paths on it.

Seriously I don't feel comfortable at all with Nintendo or any Console Manufacturer Digital Only stuff.

Just think, 10 years later you buy Awakening you have the full game of Awakening. If the DLC is no longer up, no biggie you can still play the game and enjoy the story.

Fates? That's a no go. To get the Full game currently you HAVE to purchase the rest of the game Digitally. If you got Birthright you must download Conquest and Revelation through the game. At that point, why bother with the Physical Editions just get the Game digitally cause that's what Nintendo wants you to do.

When the servers go down you'll now have an after market of hell with people having to buy both physical versions of Fates to play through Birthright and Conquest separately and no way of playing Revelation unless you got lucky and found a Full version.

@LegatoSkyheart: exactly why I was so vocal about the practices regarding Fates. Not just the price gouging, but how difficult it would be for anyone to get a hold of the full game long after eShop services are discontinued.

If it makes you feel any better, the game is no where near as good as everyone claims it to be. Just go back and play any of the GBA titles or Path of Radiance. :P

So I beat Star Wars: The Clone Wars 02 on GameCube. Not a great Star Wars game due to bad on-foot segments WORSE than Rebel Strike and Star Fox Assault combined, but the vehicular segments are where the game shines.

It feels like this is the only really active board. The Playstation and Nintendo boards are slow, and I haven't even tried the Xbox One boards. I like that this board actually doesn't seem as war-like as the name implies, so I guess it doesn't really matter if the other boards are all the dead.

I hear that one is "dark" as far as Pokemon games go. I've never played it, but I hear it's really good. I've had a desire to play another Pokemon for a while now. Maybe I'll have to get my hands on that one.

@beardmad: It's not dark as much as it is story oriented, and actually asks some good questions with its narrative. It also has a great campaign, some very progressive ideas (no HMs! Shifting gym leader teams based on your team!), and is overall a very good example of what Pokemon can be like when it steps out of its comfort zone just a little.

Asks good questions: Never answers them. "great" campaign. Still HMs to do anything off the main path. That shifting gym leaders thing was literally for one gym in the first game.

System Wars is basically the only active forum in all Gamespot but other boards like Off-Topic & Games Discussion are minor actives. SW isn't all that bad, I kinda lack in fighting which system is the best/worst, maybe it's because I'm a Manticore who owns all current-gen and a high-end PC in other words, I'm just a gamer. PlayStation and Xbox boards are dead for the most parts. Gamespot was a really active place until the 2013 revamp kick in and everyone left GS.

I am currently strapped in for the Nintendo Direct. My body is ready.

I am surprisingly hopeful for this broadcast.
