If it's been gimped for any reason, it's because the hardware sucks.
"who cares about graphics when gameplay is all that matters" well, too bad cuz even gameplay is directly downgraded for this Xbox 360 2.0
Would really like to see this engine in motion on PC, just to know how far they could really take it. They seem to have added a bunch of little (but cool) details that would benefit from being played on a much powerful hardware. Shame the game won't release on PC (at least i think it won't).

I would be interested to see this too. The engine is obviously quite capable and scalable.
WELL this just shows that they spent most of their time with the ps4 and basically less with old gens and Xbox One. Sky simulation is absolutely nothing, ps3 and xbox 360 could process it. WTF???
kojima is just showing everyone how biased they truly are and not really putting as much effort into all platforms or at least balancing the time spent on making the game at it's best on all platforms.

In FSX, I can customize the clouds, cloud types, cloud amounts, how many cloud layers I want and at what height, whether each cloud layer has precipitation. I can do the same for winds, temperature and visibilities.I can also input real-world weather and have them update every 15 minutes for each location along the flight route.
But, it's good more games are starting to include them.

The Xbox version is really blurry and has worse AA. Also is there a UFO in the X1 version? lol
haha dat difference, x1 version looks last gen. if x1 is struggling to run a game that was basically designed to run on last gen hardware just imagine the difference between ps4 phantom pain and x1 version. it will be night and day

Kojima did say PS4 could do 1080p @ 60fps...with room to spare. Maybe this is what he was talking about.

People thinking he neglected the other versions just because he was able to put more of his vision into the PS4 version are in some serious damage control/butthurt.
This is No different than Crytek taking advantage of the extra power that PC has when making versions of Crysis for PC. The PC could do more so they added more of what they could do on the hardware, it's the same here. But I love the whining from all the butthurt, bitter and remorseful fanboys talking as if Kojima took something away from other versions because their console of choice is too weak to do what he's done on the PS4, it's pure comedy.
I can't believe lems actually paid $100 more for such an inferior system. The X1 version looks closer to the ps3/360 version than the ps4.

This is a cool feature. I must ask: Will this also be exclusive to the PS4 in MGSV: The Phantom Pain, which is supposed to have real-time weather and time-of-day simulation?

It's crazy how big the difference is from these crappy compressed looks. Usually you need a full direct feed to see them.. POWER DIFFERENCE ASIDE it doesn't look like Kojima is even trying to achieve parity, and he shouldn't have to. If our friends at gaf are anything to go by, the xbone has been getting extra treatment on every game to work around the power disparity and bottle necks.
It's nice to know someone isn't letting the xb0ne hold the ps4 back. Thank you BASED Kojima
