Kinda cool. I wonder if the tech is the same as streaming from your phone or there's more to it. $200 isn't a bad price, but I don't like portable gaming much so I doubt I'll ever get this.

@kvallyx: It's probably the same as the app on your phone. Works pretty well surprisingly. You have to enable it on your PS5. It's off by default.

What a shockingly dumb product in a market ripe for dedicated handheld to be honored and valued again.... This is half cooked Sony. Go back to the drawing board and finish it....

@kvallyx: that’s kind of worse imo. At least cloud servers are accessed through high speed data connections. Not everyone has gigabit fiber connections at home.

For $200 it should have an oled screen. This costs as much as a Switch lite which is wild to me.

I might be getting one. During football season I rarely play because I'm always watching football, so this can fix that.

Also don't have to worry about kids watching me play the games they don't need to be watching.

Since the PlayStation Portable was known by its abbreviated name the PSP, what is the PlayStation Portal's abbreviated name? Both cannot be known as the PSP.

I've purposely not been playing TotK for this very reason :) Switch gets the most use during those 2 and a half hours of downtime during a 3 hour football game

Doesn't matter, no one takes this thing seriously and it will be forgotten in a couple of weeks.

Large families? Definetely could have done more, especially with that price point. But there is appeal to it for those with large families.

@Chutebox: Families for sure. My OLED is in the living room and that gets shared between everyone. I can't use my PS5 if someone is using the TV. This solves that problem.

I wonder why Sony didn't allow PS+ streaming on it? Play PSP/Vita games natively?

Seems like a missed opportunity to add some serious value.

Like I posted in the article, just save 200$ and fund a new TV. There are some nice cheap ones on Black Friday each year.

@eni232: PS5 just has to be in rest mode. I don't ever turn my PS5 completely off, so this would work for me.
