If you stop and think about it for a second, that is really really crazy.  There's really been ZERO positive press on the device.  The closest comparison would be the Virtual Boy.

I think most gamers around forums like these are hating on the Xbone and rightly so,its a very anti-consumer product.

There are really only a few hardcore lems(idiots) around here who are saying Xbone is a good thing and I expect even they are secretly going to get PS4 instead.

I have no idea what type of market MS is trying to tap into. People don't want a cable box or another PC to utilize social networks...they want a gaming console.

Right on, press. More of this please.

This is like the definitive; whose side are you on?
Are you just gonna sit there in silence while Microsoft blatantly aims to f*** over your readers in favor of Gamestop and publishers, or are you gonna help us?

good. Now maybe they'll do something about it. Drop the game fee. Connect ONE time for activation. Allow me to own the game and decide what I want to do with it,  and keep XBL the same price and I'll buy it day one (if the upcoming games look good).

EDIT: otherwise, I probably will just go play a sport and read books.

Lol, that is of course if there are any rumors to debunk. Seems like cold hard facts at this point.

Yeah. E3 is going to be awesome. I'm actually more interested in what Sony's stance is on all this. They've been way too quiet and lucky that the media has chosen the Xone as the punching bag.

It doesnt matter. The console will still sell and sell well. Heil68

I agree. Although I'm set on a PS4, if the XB1 has enough games that I want, I'll buy one too regardless of its "issues."

Noticed your signature... Last Of Us flopped? Since when as it's not out for another 6/7 days (depending where in the World you are at the moment), and currently has a metacritic score of 96 from 61 reviews.  Are mega-lems THAT desperate that they have to go making up shit to justify their faith in a console and a company that is selling them down the river one DRM game at a time??

And...

That is one review out of 61 so far, and the average score is still an impressive 96/100  in addition to that every review so far has been positive, if you are going to try making comments about the PS3 at least be an intelligient lem and use factually correct information, rather than being a trolling lem that makes s**t up because we both know deep down, when the new consoles are released you'll be among the first lems to jump ship to the PS4.

Why? We already know their policies on games and it sucks. Anybody who buys this thing is giving up all their consumer rights.

Say's the butthurt little  lem that doesn't like the truth that they're being left behind with an inferior console compared with the Playstation, all those articles link to people saying the same thing, you can deny it blindly all you want but you know damn well those articles tell it as it is.

[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"] No, that is not the law in Europe. Sorry. Copyright belongs to the copyright holder. It is licensed to you. It comes with an end-user license agreement stipulating what you may or may not do with your copy. That is all you own. A copy. The publisher is not obliged to ensure that copy can be transferred to anyone else or enjoyed by anyone else but the person they sell it to.Ninja-Hippo

In EU you have the right to sell even PC games..

So i could see MS getting in trouble in EU for the xbox one.

Again, this is just completely wrong. You have the right to sell the disc. The publisher is not obliged to make sure that game will then work on another person's computer.

No I'm not. And the fact that you just posted a link to a general EU story about digital rights management and hoped it might prove a point rather than making one yourself shows that you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Nobody can stop you re-selling something you own. The right of first sale generally over-rules EULAs in most circumstances, although there have been cases where that was not the case. In terms of your legal right to re-sell something however, I find myself repeating what I have already told you. A publisher cannot stop you trading, selling or giving away your copy of a game. *They are under no obligation to make sure that the game then works for the person you gave it to.*

Your own link even makes this distinction. Can they stop you selling your games? No. Can a message come up on the screen of the person you sold it to saying "Sorry - no game for you." ? Yes.

When it comes to consoles, the X1 is like a celebrity that you're going to hear everything about, good or bad. Meanwhile the ps4 is that average joe that no one cares about.Karnage108

So the xbox is Amanda Bynes?

Holy shit, this all makes sense now.

Nobody should buy the xbox1 there is a listening device and a spycam that can't be turned off.  The mandatory 24hr internet check in. The insane drm and the closed box with no comp. Oh xbox live you still have to pay for that also. It is also weaker than the ps4 that has more exclusive games. Not sure why anybody would buy this x1 crap. Still sony might be just as bad on used games.

So they're lying when they said:

You can pause Kinect if you don't want it on while playing games. From there, you can still say "Xbox Off" to turn off the console. When Xbox One is off, it's only listening for the "Xbox On" voice command, Microsoft said, and you can turn that feature off too. "Some apps and games may require Kinect functionality to operate, so you'll need to turn it back on for these experiences."

Everthing was confirmed..

Nope. Not at all. I'm TELLING YOU, that everything you are hearing is wrong. Let alone the fact must of the issues are unconfirmed. Again, all of it is false except for 2 that are partially true of all the complaints but very very little because most of it is still BS. MS just planned a release dates in South Africa, that alone should blow the online mess out of the water, because unless MS is giviing one country exemption completely it makes no sense to believe thye will do it at all. all the others ones will be destroyed at E3. Although there are talks of implementing some plans based on publisher decisions so they can add things in that are rumored but as it stands none is really true.

Everthing was confirmed..

Crossel777

Nope. Not at all. I'm TELLING YOU

Lol and WHO ARE YOU AGAIN? Your word is basically nothing against the clusterfuk that is the media and the entire internet.

All the unconfimred information, and I don't expect you to believe me, just be sure to kiss my shoes when I am correct. As it stands all of it is false for the most part.

They don't need to change anything, the stuff you're talking about is not true in the first place. Production is already behind schedule, so when they debunk everything at E3, it will not be because of you screaming "gamers" that like to yell at snow when it's raining.

So everything MS has announced and subsequently confirmed is actually untrue and you are the only one who knows the truth? Sounds legit.

Last Gen started with Moore heading ms gaming saying options for consumers is a good thing and I agreed. This Gen seems to be an opposite start and looks pretty bad.

Yes.

Ninja-Hippo

Buying and reselling any form of digital software is perfectly legal, the Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled. Software authors or in the gaming world, publishers can not stop customers from reselling their games, even if the publisher attaches an End User License Agreement prohibiting resale.

"The exclusive right of distribution of a copy of a computer program covered by such a licence is exhausted on its first sale," the court has found.

This ruling covers customers in European Union member states, and games bought through services such as Steam or Origin. The initial purchaser is now entitled to sell the license of a game and allow someone else to download it directly from the publisher's website. The tricky part now is selling the actual license, since there is no system in place for any such transaction. The initial buyer would need a code for a game's license and upon selling it, he would no longer be able to access that game on his account.

Please they can even download it from the servers of the game seller..

EULA is not abode the law not matter what they put there.

At this point, Microsoft would have to hold a separate press conference where they will announce the successor to the (never to be released) X-Bone, called the XB4 (finally putting Xbox on an even numerical keel to PS4). Microsoft will then explain how the X-bone was all a joke and that they really do care what gamers want that's why the XB4 will have 16GB GDDR6 RAM, two Titans running in SLI and Shenmue 3 and Halo 5 as pack in titles. The XB4 will ditch the Kinect 2.0 (lol) and instead it will come with a 4K version of Oculus Rift. Microsoft will then shock everyone buy including free Netflix for life for early adopters of XB4. John Carmack will do an interview with GameInformer in which he will trash the PS4 (like the good ol' days of PS3), and he will declare the XB4 as 'the ultimate gaming rig rivaled only by the supercomputer at NASA that calculates every planet's orbit in the entire solar system'. Ed Fries (former Xbox hardware team) will then ride through the curtains on a Segway scooter and declare that the 'XB4 crunches 200 Petaflops of data without breaking a sweat'. Then inexplicably, the same COD: Ghosts trailer with the dog will play through only this time the dog's fur will utilize fur rendering for a more realistic look (and the flat hair texture on the dudes arm will get fur rendering also of course). Bill Gates himself will then appear on-stage to proclaim that 'fur-rendering is exclusive to the XB4 version of Ghosts, for a limited time at least'. Graphics whores will then change their pre-orders from PS4 to XB4. This is what MS needs to do and if they fail to deliver this to the tee, the X-bone will go down as "teh flop king", mark my words. Oh, and I apologize to anyone who read this whole post actually thinking it would make sense.
