Seems reasonable and shows that 2 straight #1s don't mean as much as what kind of sales figures were associated with particular week. Titanfall sold twice as much as Infamous: SS. And still sold a lot more in its first week than Infamous: SS during its lifetime (so far).

idk where you've been but both Xboxes have been releasing stuff consistently, not just Titanfall. the ps4 has only really released Infamous and a couple no name idie games...ssooooo, yea, there you go, nothing.

TF sold massively in the UK, the numbers Des provided just about shows that if accurate.

TF is also currently the number #1 bestseller on Amazon UK for entire 2014 in games.

Titanfall is still a winner for the devs though, they have probably spent less than half the man hours creating Titanfall as it's just a multiplayer game made on an engine they did not even create and still sell for full price (well apart from the ones MS give away but they get paid regardless). It really is a win for the devs in the short term. Not trying to put down the work they have done or anything, they have probably done the best with what they had and it is their first game as a new studio and people seem to like it.

Their next game will probably be better especially if they don't use an outdated engine that is not optimised for the platform. I'm just glad to see a over hyped first person shooter is not the game changer Microsoft thought it would be and other games can still compete. I don't want first person shooters to be the main draw to a platform, especially when you see devs spending a lot more time and effort making other things and not be rewarded as much.

EA definitely isnt happy. Not releasing it on the PS4 made them loose potential buyers, even for its sequels. I doubt the MS deal was better than what they would have sold on the PS4, especially when its biggest franchises (Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14) are selling better on the PS4

The same could be said about the XBone and Titanfall. And thats not even an exclusive...

Nobody expected Infamous to outsell Titanfall.

The story here is that Titanfall is a huge flop. If it was the game changer that MS hyped it to be then word of mouth would be spreading and people would be rushing out to buy the game and a bone if necessary.

The fact that it only topped the chart for one week clearly shows that this isn't happening. MS were really depending on this game and filled its launch with artificial hype. You have to laugh that Infamous, which isn't even one of Sony's big franchises, is keeping it off top spot.

why is noone stating infamous dropped -67% week two when they laughed titanfall dropped -73%? Cows are dumb as hell. Titanfall has. 25% or higher attach rate already. Infamous isn't even close to 25% attach even with having couple million more consoles. Cows will cow. 25% attach is amazing hell CoD doesn't get 25% attach on last Gen :P
