Holy fuck, cows forget about last gen so fast. Those are definitely quotes from last gen when 99% of multiplat games were worse or outright sucked on PS3.
Amazing how Microsoft can make TC's blood boil with a piece of plastic. Either that or him trying to make Skyrim or Bayonetta work on his PS3.
Those that don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Glad one of these companies did, at least.
People want Ryse because of the pretty pictures. The people talking about the gameplay should also realize people are still buying call of duty. Those people are easily impressed by fish moving and shiny romans.
the difference is call of duty gameplay is actually good. the problem is it's the same damn game for about decade now with the SAME exact engine.

whats more useful, the kinect 2 or the touched on the ds4? I think the only use ill get out of the touchpad is to browse through maps in games, the kinect will just be used to turn on the console.
Can the touchpad redeem codes instantly like Kinect? Can it snap other apps on and off your screen instantly? Can it recognize you and sign you into the system when you turn it on?
The only thing i found useful with the DS4 touchpad so far is giving my "Owl" bot orders in KZ:SF. That's about it.
So, as the TC said; Kinect for non gaming purposes and Touchpad for gaming needs...
Kinect worked great for several 360 games includin Dance Central, Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Kinect Adventures & Kinect Party. It can be used for games when done my a great developer. Ubisot needs to stay away from Kinect.
Oh yeah, several games and great developers right there.
NIche motion gaming titles like that belong in the bargin bin. I don't care how good a dance game is or one of those wii/kinect "sports" games are, they will never be worth $60.
Nintendo made big money at the START of last gen, but this fad is basically dead, so the sooner people stop trying to pretend otherwise, the better.
purely for games or for everything? kinect gets 99% of its usefulness from voice controls which are pretty moot since any headset could do the same thing on the xbox one if microsoft only allowed them to. aside from that, you just have motion controls which are terrible and small operations like being a camera to scan codes and log users on quickly.
Touchpad is a clickable button and can have many uses. Killzone for example basically uses it as a 2nd Dpad with a swipe in 1 of 4 directions for different commands. If used right, it could be incredibly useful to games WITHOUT needing to have shoe-horned prompts.

Sigh... you guys sure like to bring up that 720P. Such a broken record.
Making a new device that only does gaming is last gen thinking.
it doesn't only do it, it just puts it first. Caring for TV so much, yet still requiring you to have a cable subscription and connect the box itself to the system just to overlay the interface is pretty half-assed.
I hated halo until Halo Reach. That is the first halo game I actually enjoyed playing. Then halo 4 is equally awesome. 2 great halo games vs 4 maybe 5 great forza games.
funny coincidence about that. halo was a great franchise UNTIL Reach. (well, unless you count ODST. Campaign was great, but I beat it on legendary in 3 hours. It was just DLC charged at full price w/ the Halo 3 maps most of us already bought, so it was a ripoff)
I still don't understand why GT6 didn't get overhauled for the PS4. I don;t play Gran Turismo or Forza anyway, but this seemed like a silly decision. Maybe they are putting all their apple in DriveClub. Time will tell.
Gran Turismo sells a shit ton of copies. Nobody can even buy a ps4 right now due to limited supply and I'm sure plenty would more than likely want to wait a few years for a price drop anyways. It makes more sense from a business point of view to just release this game on the console with the established userbase.
Don't know about overall anticipating, but right now the game I'm thinking about most is The Order. It looks interesting but I want to see some goddamn gameplay already!
They NEED to show something good at VGX to finally put my mind at ease on whether or not I outta be hyping this.
Everything else there I'm even remotely interested in, I know I'll love, so it's just a matter of waiting for the games to come out.
I did notice on the demo unit at gamespot that the rubber on the controller was already coming off, but I imagine it gets used more than the average gamer would
that's part of it. To my understanding though, it's a bad batch. Not as big of an issue (meaning lower priority) as the consoles with problems, but you can call Sony to get a free replacement controller.
it's still full price for "nextgen" systems. Gotta love that nextgen mark up. Meanwhile on PC it's half price for the superior version.
True, but one could always buy a ps3 or 360 copy and then do the $10 upgrade. Still saving a nice bit of cash.
Both UIs looks pretty shitty right now. At least MS has shown in the past that they're willing to completely redesign their UI, Sony hasn't
because it works. The worst thing about he XMB was the speed.
Fixed 1000x over for the ps4. It's fast as hell and you can find everything you are looking for very quickly. What more do you need?

everything sells out at launch, x1 wont have the legs. the only reason it sold more on black fridays is because ps4 is sold out everywhere and sony had to allocate for europe launch. once the initial supply for both consoles is met the real console war will begin, i expect ps4 to demolish x1 and m$ will price cut this time next year
Everything does sell out at launch, and sales do mean little this early in the game.
But that didnt stop cows from claiming sony dominance when there were more PS4s allocated for launch day than X1s in the US.
There were PS4 allocated for Black Friday in the US as well. We'll see what the final NPD numbers show next month. The fact that cows didn't even think the XB1 would sell over 1 million in 24hr at launch was hilarious. TCHBO in that case. The XB1 still has about 20-25 other countries to launch in, so we'll see what happens in 2014 when it launches in those countries.
Also.. Europe also experience a large amount of broken PS4. Here's the PS4 Support forum for Europe. lol!! Lots of BLOD again.
First off, nobody thought that the Xbox One couldn't manage 1 million sales in 13 countries. What's sad is that it only managed around those numbers in 13 countries.
Also, what the hell are you trying to prove using a support forum link to claim ownage for broken consoles? That's like visiting a terminal wing at the hospital and claiming the world is ending due to disease.
I'm actually a little shocked MS has been able to shift what they've shifted the general consensus among most people I game with (who happen to mostly game on 360) is that when we each jump to the new consoles the PS4 will be the console to jump to, cheaper and currently seems to put out better visuals, like alot of people I'll wait at least a year before making a final decision, interesting to see cows telling Lems to suck it considering the majority of the current installed userbase is yet to even pick up a new console.
that may be true, but the early adopters matter. If you aren't even planning on buying a console until a year or so or whenever down the line, you'll most likely get the system that all of your friends got. For me, 360 was a clear choice even before there were any games i really wanted on it because pretty much everyone i knew who was remotely into videogames and got a new system had one. got a ps3 later on for exclusives, but was never really joined on that front.
I wanna say about 8/10 friends got the ps4 this time around with 2 of them refusing to budge from xbox in the hopes that the next gears game will be as good as 1-3.
