Wobblewobble.

I'm still pretty sure I'm getting a PS4 (at some point)...but honestly...I have no idea why it was designed like that.

#6 Posted by mems_1224 (45745 posts) -

sony is too poor to include post it notes with every console confirmed

From wobbles to flopples, this is not a good start Sony.

#8 Posted by Desmonic (12666 posts) -

Really? Just a post-it fixes it?..Hmm..makes me think some measurement at the factory went slightly wrong. Either way it won't move on it's own so no real harm should come from it.

*play Knack for 5 minutes*

*realize you wasted money*

*slide Knack disk underneath PS4 to keep it from wobbling*

PRICELESS! Add Killzone shadowflop if Knack isn't enough :)

It really wobbles like that?

Is there even rubber square pegs at the bottom of each corner of the console ?

#12 Posted by gago-gago (9111 posts) -

This could start to get real annoying once discs starts spinning and it wobbles by itself.

#13 Posted by psymon100 (6138 posts) -

double sided tape and a bit of hard yakka, she'll be right.

#14 Posted by -Unreal- (24474 posts) -

Maybe the wobble will go away after an hour of playing BF4 when the heat picks up inside the machine and bends and warps it, right before that WLoD.

Enjoy!

I think I'm going to get vertical stand.

#16 Posted by good_sk8er7 (4320 posts) -

It's annoying that this happened, but I'll be standing mine vertically anywho.

And if I was using it horizontally I wouldn't be over there pressing down on it. Don't think I've ever done that to a console before lol.

Someone on there was saying that the placement of the rubber feet is intentional so that it would be more stable on the edge of an entertainment center. Makes sense I guess.

Still just seems like they should have made sure that it would lay flat. Seems like bad design to me. They're lucky the box is so damn gorgeous.

Don't worry guys Sony is releasing a day one patch to fix it

I heard M$ paid them to make it wobble.

(Also, Polygon are somehow involved)

#25 Posted by cmatt28 (13 posts) -

So basically if I don't walk over to my console and push down on the shiny end there isn't any wobble? Interesting. However if I am going to be that guy that constantly pushes down on that end I could simply stick a piece of double sided tape on it and I'd be good to go.

this is a kick in the nuts for sony...

Design working as intended. Sony now waiting to announce their new first party franchise:

Lets hope it scores better than Knack.

All you Sony apologists don't have a leg to stand on. You see what I did? I'll stop now...

Should I cancel me preorder???????

#30 Posted by CrownKingArthur (3741 posts) -

if i was spending that amount of money on a consumer product, i'd expect it to sit perfectly flat on a level surface.

what is this? palaeolithic times?

It's not like bumping the thing will scratch the shit out of your game disks (C wut I did thar?)

#34 Posted by heretrix (37250 posts) -

Everyone knows that can be fixed with a patch..........right?

#35 Edited by Jakandsigz (4512 posts) -

It's hell of a design flaw something that should be flat, wobbles EVERYWHERE

All jokes aside, that's just shitty workmanship. No doubt it will be fixed next shipment but come on Sony.

problem solved

Buy self adhesive rubber feet on Amazon, and its not an issue.

there are things at the bottom of the console, but not on the bottom of the glossy portion. the console is naturally balanced and won't wobble unless you were to apply pressure on that one particular spot.

- Quite an embarassing flaw if all PS4 are affected by this.

- An incredibly insignificant detail.

- The absolutely worst part of this is all the PS4 haters. They're already spamming those pictures to the point that I'd like to see it reportable as spam/disruptive posting. (especially because some of the pictures are friggin' huge). It's only gonna keep on going, with these gifs gonna be spammed in every bloody thread and hater after hater will keep quoting it.

#45 Posted by dreamdude (4609 posts) -

@mems_1224:

:D

Your input in threads is one of the things that keeps me on system wars.

On topic. This is sort of lame if it's a problem with a lot of launch PS4s.

lol.. sony fanboys would do the same thing if this was an issue with the X1.

Still pretty dam bad for the consumer to have to buy some rubber feet for a machine they spent over £400 on.

#49 Posted by _Cadbury_ (2936 posts) -

Don't push on the corner of it with your finger to make it wobble in the first place. Problem solved.

Why? it doesn't wobble on it's own, can't see what the huge deal is personally.

Lems be as bad as cows when it comes to nitpicking about minor s*** (that wasn't aimed at you Heli)
