@texasgoldrush: No other FF game in the last 20+ years ever scored above 90, including FF7 Remake which was in the 80s (with the exception of FF14, but that's pretty much its own thing at this point). So your claim of fan culture boosting the score is untrue, as its predecessor and other FF games never got such a boost.

@last_lap: words have meaning. "Cash grab" implies minimal effort for maximum kickback. Nothing you see from this game signals that minimal effort was put into it. Not even an extreme hater of it should say something as stupid as that.

@X_CAPCOM_X: It will be using assets from the first game to cut production costs and development time, all the while charging players full price for an incomplete game because there is still a third part to come. Cash grab.

Because FF7 was split in three parts, all of which are heavily expanded upon, Rebirth is NOT a full game

It's the second part of a three-part game, Square are milking it for all its worth, that's a cash grab. It was over as soon as you said it's not a cash grab.

FFX - 92 MC

FF7R2 - 93 MC

FFIX - 94 MC.

You have to go back to 2000 for a higher rated FF.

FFX imo is the best Final Fantasy ever made, better than IX and yes, VII.

but FF7R2 is looking to be an excellent game. I hope the PC version releases as soon as people are claiming lol.

That score is so true n real that 50% of the studio got fired after its launch, including Bonnie Ross, the one in charge of it all.😊What an 9/10. If it was made by another developer, this kind of shovelware would've gotten a 6/10, and if the multiplayer and campaign were reviewed together, this is a 5/10 first person shooter🤭🤭🤭🤭

I think they went ahead and wanted to do something unique and break one video game into 3 parts. Not for cash grab but because that's how big they wanted to create the story to be. You can't do that with any game especially one that is a remake.

Amazing. Looks like the universal praise comes from everywhere. As a fan of theirs, I'm glad that Square Enix had a great critical success with FF7Rebirth flollowing FF16 last year.

I also respect GS's criticism, even if it's a minor opinion; FF7Rebirth is clearly the strongest GotY contender of the year, so it's inevitable that it will be subjected to all kinds of tough questions.

In any case, I can't wait to experience it all, haha.

It was okayish, the game got worse as it went along, nowhere near Arkane's best. Far to repetitive, and for simple main quest progression.

I haven't played it, but Superman 64 looks like a 1 out of 10 game.

I cannot say that I agree. Also repetition is gaming, so it is a rather meaningless descriptor.
