They did this by accidentally mixed up TLOU's 10/10 score and UC4's 8/10 score.

ES6, Avowed, Blade, Fable, Hellblade2, etc. These games will never even approach a 93 meta. Don't expect much when the game is created by a committee of suits instead of passionate developers🤷‍♂️

Or its cultural bias.....as many games have the same issues FFVII Rebirth has, but they get dinged for them by gaming critics.

This is the problem with game critics. Overhyped and legacy franchises get higher review scores than underhyped games, and games with comparable issues. Thats how Skyward Sword got overrated.

Wut? Are you sure we're talking about the same game here? Remake and Rebirth are the only two good games made by the Japanese Ubisoft in ages. Those games aren't even for me, and i can very easily see that passion was put into these titles.

Not to defend the game, cuz i really don't care about FF, but its a damn jrpg, their story telling is always trash tier to say the least. Nobody in Japan is capable of writing a quality story or something.

I've said "contender". Game has 100% critics recommended with almost 90 reviews on OC. If you didn't played a demo. Well, a problem then. Game is damn awesome

Seriously, these games run on video game culture.

The problem is, its just another run of the mill AAA title.......many games does what FFVII Rebirth does better. Its fan culture boosting the score.

The game was hyped to score above an 8 here on Gamespot, so yeah it's a flop.

Our Aussie is so desperate as of late, its appalling.🤗

Can't wait to see how bad the ending is, especially after FF7 Remakes. I dunno why it's so hard to just follow the original story. No one wanted alternate timelines and themes of defying fate. The choices they made storywise are mindbogglingly dumb.

The MC score is higher than I expected. I figured it would be high 80s, yet scored 93. That's the highest score for FF in over 20 years!

See you've been here for over 20yrs and KNOW how this works, the game flopped because of its score HERE. Metashitic doesn't matter, well it does for those who get a sore butt over its score here.
