Seems that the leak of that alpha bulid of Assassin's Creed Unity has prompted the devs to release a very short sneak peak.

Gorgeous graphics but there is no indication that it's in-game. It could be running on their new Snowdrop Engine developed by Massive for Ubi, which means these visuals could be accurate.

Anyways the setting is clearly Paris and it will be out this year. I expect more info around E3.

They should make an assassin's creed game, where you can control a computer hacker and you can drive around the cities. It must also have a person of interest vibe and it must have ugly last gen graphics

I'll probably skip this year. Black Flag was solid but man am I getting sick of this series wish they would give it a much needed break

Toni was first, inb4 the lock

Fucking getting it.

Looks great!

Watch as it gets massively downgrade in the final 3-2 months before release :P

#9 Posted by _Matt_ (8877 posts) -

Looks gorgeous, hope there won't be such a downgrade.

#10 Edited by tonitorsi (8305 posts) -

Seems it will be in full 1080p.

City streets seem more open with more buildings thrown in for parkour. Something that was lacking in Black Flags.

Day 1.

If they done like AC4 than it may be worhty because 4 is only worth playing game in series but series is getting stale now. even fans are sick of them.

Assassin's Creed has never suffered a downgrade yet, has it?

No PS3 or 360 to hold it back? That's promising.

it has. AC4 prior to release was showing amazing graphics.

final game looks pale in comparasion.

Lol. Sure.

Count me in if they drop that boring naval gameplay from AC4 and refine the combat some more. TC, hopefully they are using the Snowdrop engine or UE4 and not a "heavily modified" version of UE3. It would make sense to use Snowdrop since it's an in house engine.

God, it's about time they went to Paris.

#18 Posted by Desmonic (13518 posts) -

@charizard1605: That double quote! :P

Nah, but this is clearly not in-game. Therefore there is little reason to believe it'll actually looks this when we play it. Though if Ubi manages to prove me wrong, the better :P

Also remember the first AC trailer? For the very first game? What we got was nothing like that (it still amazed me though :) ).

The first AC trailer wasn't in game by their own admission though, iirc.

@charizard1605: Maybe. Despite loving the game (and it's setting) it was stil a bit of a bummer to not have a badass crossbow along for the ride :P

#21 Posted by g0ddyX (3909 posts) -

Cant go wrong with Assassins Creed.

#22 Posted by Wasdie (49655 posts) -

I'm wondering if this is going to use the Snowdrop Engine. The title "Unity" could mean they are using the Unity engine but that doesn't make any sense since Ubi has pumped so much time and money into the Snowdrop Engine for their future games.

For once, I absolutely agree with you!

(unless the game happens to be AC3... >.> )

Yeah, the first AC game was great.

Then AC2 came along.

No Wii U version, so it looks like I'll be getting this one on PC.

Wii U will probably get the Xbox 360/PS3 game, if it gets any at all this year.

#28 Posted by Desmonic (13518 posts) -

@charizard1605: I would love to see them go back to the Crusades time period. It's one of my personal favourite time periods in history and with their current engine and experience on the series they could make a much, much better game than the OG AC (even if they had to nerf the character a bit due to the limitations of said time).

Though I doubt that'll happen anytime soon...maybe if they decide to do an AC:HD version for the PS4/X1 in a couple of years haha :P

How boring, France.

#30 Edited by finalfantasy94 (26377 posts) -

meh france. Also still havent gotten part 4. I hope no navel crap since I didint like it in 3 and am not looking forward to it in 4.Why not japan or russia like in the comics. A AC game in the snow.

Good lord they are milking this franchise dry.

And that's a big if. I don't think Blag Flag sold all that well, but with the lack of DLC support, I don't think Ubisoft believed in it. It's a shame. I really like playing AC on my Wii U with the map and HUD on the lower screen. Plus, there's a big difference in my electric bill if I use the Wii U instead of my PC.

Yeah it did, once.

With the first Assassin's Creed. The original footage looked better than the final game. I don't think they ever did it after that.

Waiting for the one set in India during the British Raj. Perhaps next year.

Could be interesting. Hope it looks as good as the sneak peek, but I doubt it will.

game is going to be same ol generic crap with done to death gameplay climbing one button combat hero saving the world.

#41 Posted by Ballroompirate (22579 posts) -

Eww Paris, people will give up before you even get to fight them.

Are you mentally challenged, or do you seriously not know the difference between the American Revolution and the French Revolution?

I mean. Holy shit. The mind boggles. This might be the single most ignorant thing I have read on this site, ever.

Rumour is the game will feature co-op and in that light I think it's a bit clever.

Co-op would be a fantastic addition to the series.

@charizard1605:

To think someone actually un banned Sniper, they must be really hurting for site hits to bring that tool back.
