The PSN Error Thread - 8001050F! New Update 1:35 AM EST

OK EVERYONE GATHER ROUND THIS IS MY THEORY:

THE PLAYSTATION WEBSITE WAS HACKED, BUT THE PSN FIRMWARE FROM 3.10 AND HIGHER IS FAULTY TO THE FAT PS3 AND IS PARTIALLY EFFECTED BY THE HACKER

it's definitely not a PSN-related error. my PS3 has not been connected to the Internet for at least two weeks, but when I tried to play Dragon Age today, it wouldn't work properly. It must have something to do with the old PS3s and their calendar, but i still don't know why it won't allow us to play trophy-related games. if i lose my Dragon Age trophies, i'll be a sad, sad man. I was like at 98%.

I have the same problem, but what is strange is how offline users cant play games either? Also whats up with the "get flash and/or enable javascript and stop wasting my time." on the ps3.com site? Weird stuff.d3r3k1987

No online is ok but deleting trophies and DLC (which happened to me) is insane.

Ok, so they closed out the other forum relating to this error code, how long before they close this one? Any takers?

I can get to the psn and store etc... through my psp-2000 :|

I reading about this kind of error like 2 hours aga. Going back to the first post on this issue. I found this had happen last yeat on the same day. But not to the mass.

ps3 games WITHOUT online and trophies work... if it has either online or trophies it doesnt work... so pick up Madden 07 or NHL 08 or The Godfather 2 and PLAY!
