Thanks for the information but i hope you know that this is the first time this happens, it always allow you to play but there is somthing happened today that is causing this

I second that 100%... this is system killing here... not just a hiccup.

Onto the 360 for the rest of the night... Forza 3 here I come.

Playing Heavy Rain... two trophies didn't appear that should have. Quit Game and restarted and got Trophy Registration error. Got booted from PSN and now get 8001050F on all screens when trying to launch Trophy Games and Sign into PSN.

I just reinstalled Oblivion. It works fine so I will be busy untill this is fixed. Time to go goblin hunting.

A. My Street Fighter IV trophies disappeared

B. My 100% for finished the hard trials in Street Fighter IV trophies didn't show up

C. My PS3's date is set to 12/31/1999, I can only assume this has something to do with the date today and something to do with the LEAP year

D. NOBODY hacked sony, this is a screw up that has happen 3 years in a row. They have actually had a similiar issue happen and are in the process of being SUED right now for it:

THE PLAYSTATION WEBSITE WAS HACKED, BUT THE PSN FIRMWARE FROM 3.10 AND HIGHER IS FAULTY TO THE FAT PS3 AND IS PARTIALLY EFFECTED BY THE HACKER

Yes, they do have issues, however, if they go down they send out a mass email letting us know when and for how long. What ever this is I still think that people have the right to complain about it. I mean really, if there was something with Xbox where all of the sudden you can't get online but also loose your achievements.... OMFG the boards would be mit up like an x-mas tree!!! I personally lost all my trophies for SWTFU and I was only 3 awaay from having my 1st platinum, yea if they don't come back I'm going to be a little more than miffed!!!

Mine is working just fine, i have the newest 250gb model though. Im assuming its only affecting the launch models?

I see a lot of ppl that are freaking out because they think they need to update their ps3 at one point to fix this problem. Two things, first if you need to update it they are available on the PS3 website... and ur online... Second, this is a problem with the PSN servers from everything I've heard from Sony, meaning the fix needs to be applied to the servers not your systems. So here's what all u dummies do. Stop. Think. Turn on a fan to clear the smell of ur brain being used for the first time in ur life and play some CS:S

This is weird. I was playing my PS3 all afternoon after I got it online today (have it piggybacking off my laptop's internet connection since my dorm's network won't allow an unregistered device to access the network) and I didn't have any issues at all. Downloaded several gigabytes worth of stuff, went on Home and saw lots of folks running around, did some protein folding in folding@home, looked at my trophies a few times, and more. Finally got off at around 6:30pm and came on GS to find out that everyone else apparently couldn't get online.

For the record I got my PS3 250GB only a few days ago, so perhaps that has something to do with it.

I own a fatty 40Gb ps3, that is no launch model and i have this 8001050F problem now...
