Your pet peeve about wii?

That I'm not playing Brawl.

One delay I was happy with. Second delay, I'm getting a little edgy...

Hopefully no more delays. Apart from that, I don't have any other problems. And even the Brawl delay I'm pretty much alright with now.

Smacking myself with the cord between the Wiimote and the Nunchuk. It should have just been wireless from the get go.

Friend Codes. My biggest issue with the DS and the Wii. Specially with games with no communication, its like they are protecting us from nothing. I really hate the concept. That and finally I think the lack of voice chat in online games. I know I've read morons saying "WHY WOULD YOU WANNA TAWK WHILWE PWAYING A GAME, DURRR" well I'll tell you why. For every thousand arse-faces, there is about one genuine good person on the game. Not all of us are anti-social shut-ins like society would want us to be. Also if you are playing a game like DBZBT3 you can chit chat with people about the series.

Mine is that i can't watch dvds. I mean its not a huge deal because i have a ps3 for all my media needs but I would like to have the ability to bring my wii to a friend's or family memeber's house and watch a movie after a game of wii sports. So what are some of your pet peeves?Striker_WiiS3

Nintendo is MILKING IT with the VC!!! NOBODY WANTS A COLLECTION OF CRAPPY OLD GAMES ON THE VC!!!

People just want THE GREAT GAMES like Super Metroid and Mario Bros 3. I dont know anybody who was really excited to see THE ADVENTURES OF LOLO! This makes me angry and I know it makes alot of Wii owners angry.

It's obvious what they are doing... They are streching out the 'GREATS' all over the lifespan of the Nintendo Wii (Which is about 3-5 years) to keep people buying VC games... If they put all the best old games on the VC at once not as many people would buy the crappy games.

Agreed! I'd like to plug in my external harddrive to the Wii. 150gigs of memory dedicated to video gaming! Woot!

My pet peeve is people who use words like "nobody" and "everybody" to describe a situation like what games "nobody" or "everybody" likes, when they really mean "I" and "me."

I guess that isn't limited just to the Wii though ;)

it really needs a 20GB or bigger hard drive, even if its optional.

also how the wii cant update wii games, such as a small glitch in guitar hero could have been updated in like 2 sec on any other console but for the wii u need to send in the disc and have it replaced. as a result of this dbz bt3 online will never be fixed and moh2's online problem with ppl taking to long to die cant be fixed either.

The graphics, no mic, all first party games that are based upon mario sort of games, no harddrive, FCs? its a total joke.., no dvd player, how the wii is known to be for kids. awptimistic

fc's r a total joke, ecpecially when u cant even communicate with ppl in the majority of the games, it real does make no sense, u should be able to add someone to a rivals list right after randomly playing them, end of story.

I would like a bit more of online interactivity

no dvd/cd playback

no divx/xvid/mpeg/mp3 support through cd or/and sd card (i would pay for a channel like this)

no pen drive/external HDD for data copy

can't play games of an sd card (this would be great, if it had a special mode on wich you could carrie vc games to a friends house)

appart from that it's a very nice system that i love, and hope that at least a part of my wishlist is fullfiled with updates :)

oooh, found another pet peeve in this thread - Wii owners who somehow find the energy to get annoyed by other people's gaming habits. You know, like finding it important enough to actually care what games other people like/don't like and what they choose to buy or not buy.

Adding a serious one, I'd have to second the post that said the lack of online updates/patches for games. While I don't have GH3, I definitely understand the mono sound issue and it is ridiculous for the publisher to have to remaster thousands of CDs. That should be a warning to Nintendo, because the risk associated with releasing games on the Wii is higher than other consoles that do have an online update system. You might say that game makers just need to do better QA of their games, and while that is true, that's also naive to market reality.

The other piece of the online update system is downloadable content. With the sports genre in particular, roster updates are practically a requirement. If the PS3/360 give them and the Wii doesn't, then Nintendo will lose those types of gamers to other consoles. And even with other games like GH3, other consoles give owners the ability to download new content whereas the Wii does not.
