Starfox 64 3D comes out tomorrow (9/9/11), will you be picking up a copy? Later on, perhaps after a price drop or are you not planning on getting it at all?

I chose the "Undecided" option. Here's my copy/paste from the other thread, since I still need advice;
"Bleeeeh I got the N64 version a few months ago from a local retailer for a buy 2 used games, get 1 free deal (got SF64 for free), but never really got around to playing it besides the multiplayer. (Only touched the single player once, but I was very drunk so I really don't remember jack ) I'm very tempted to buy this because of the beefed up features and because I've never really played the original extensively, but in all good conscious Idk if I can buy this knowing I have almost the same game, untouched, lying in my basement...It would have been a day 1 purchase if it had Wifi, but now I'm on the fence. Advice please!!!"
I don't think I'll ever be getting that game. Too many other games that I want to get before. Besides I don't feel like it will be a good game anyways.
Edit; This is my opinion (Don't want some dude telling me something like 'there is no bad game, the degree to which someone enjoys a game is relative' or whatever. I never really liked on-rails shooting.
Not anytime soon. I don't see myself paying over $17.00 for it so it'll be a while.

This. I wasn't that excited for it from the start and since it does not have online, I doubt I will be able to get any kind of replay value. I'll wait for a price drop if I'm still interested.
@Kirbside Your sig isn't 'white background' friendly :P, I was curious enough to highlight your entire sig in order to read the white text. #Justsayin'Rafandrews
That's what you get for using the white background, noob. :P
Amazon sent me an email while I was at work tonight, letting me know my copy's on the way. I enjoyed the game when it came out originally ($50 for a Super Nintendo cartridge, What was I thinking?!?) and want to play with the better graphics and 3d effects.
Probably not. Played the heck out of the original (great game btw) and know like all the secrets. I don't think I'd want to replay it again and again, again.
But the original game was on the N64.....>_>Amazon sent me an email while I was at work tonight, letting me know my copy's on the way. Probably, so Nintendo will revive the series. :P But i wont get it until I find a way to get Ships to attack Link on OoT
Probably will pick it up but not 100% decided yet. I never had an chance to play the N64 version as I was a Playstation follower. So I would be able to justify buying it moreso than other who have played the heck out of it on their N64 or Wii. Just not sure about dropping $40 on it.
+1. I wasn't super hyped for it (would have been for a new title) but I'd like to play it at some point. Not anytime soon. I don't see myself paying over $17.00 for it so it'll be a while.

I'm totally mind blown as to how star fox 64 for $40 is beating out Dead Island for $40 on PC in terms of reviews. One is a port and the other is a beautiful ...30 hour multiplayer romp with some innovative combat and physics. Critics these days...Yes I will get starfox 64 but not until the price drop.

Sorry, perhaps I should change it, is there a color you'd prefer. :o
y LMAO, don't worry duder, I'm not a noob anymore... I have officially changed my background to black. How cool is that? Now I can read your sig with ease wherever you go xDI see people saying the gam eis short and from what I am hearing that is only the real negative that people have found. Most reviews of the game have ranged from 7.5 - 9.0 when looking on Gamerankings.com So it would seem like a case can be made for the game being worth dropping $40 bucks on.
i just beat the training mode then i beat the flying test training mode(new)....then i completed corneria...then i checked online and realized you have to accomplish corneria...so i replayed it...im going to take the hardest path :)
after i beat corneria it saved...i ll continue it later on :P
Looks like the poll results are relatively close. I've never played the original and it looks like it would be a great game to pickup and play when i'm commuting to/from school. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some used copies lying around at EB Games within the next few weeks; there's no doubt that someone's gonna get the game, finish it once within an hour and say they're done and trade it in. :P
I think $20 is my limit for a game like this. That's one reason I never got to play the original. It's too expensive to pay that kind of money on a game that lasts like an hour in one playthrough. If I pay $40 for a game, I want at least 1 hour of playtime for each dollar that I spend. So I ususally end up getting RPG's that are 40+ hours, but sadly there's nothing good out at the moment. Sure there's Devil Survivor, but that didn't really catch my interest.
I got it today I've never played Star Fox 64 since I never owned an N64 but I was a big fan of Starfox on the SNES. I think it's a great game the only thing I'm annoyed with is the lack of online for multiplayer. Star Fox Command had online but that game is no where near as good as Star Fox 64 Nintendo really missed an opportunity because the lack of online I do feel it's lost some sales.
I'm not spending $40 on a decent game that I have already played through. I also have way too many other games of higher quality to play, so I don't really have time to waste on Starfox 64.
I got it yesterday (Launch day) I had it pre ordered. I was surprised to find out we were supposed to get Star Fox Dog Tags for pre ordering it. But Nintendo apologized and said they would be in at least my stores Sept 14th. So got to go back and get them. Star Fox is good. I personally like Nintendo bringnig back the classics. Even a remake of a 10 year old game like Starfox 64 beats crap like Gears Of War 3 and such. Just my opinion.
