Any news about cuts, signings, trades, rumors, etc can be logged in here. Major stuff can of course have it's own thread, but I want to get as many transactions and such in here. Discussion is okay, too.

[QUOTE="Ryder004"]been hearing rumors about greg ellis and roy williams being cut by the boysEspurs117
Excellent news. Ellis is good, but im tired of his whining. Spencer looks good so he can finally do what he was brought in to do.
Word out of Oakland is that Huff will be released. You thinking Texas reunion?

Plaxico Burress, Anquan Boldin and Chad Johnson are apparently desiring to be traded.

Only receiver of those three I would even be remotely interested in (Carolina?) is Boldin. He's the youngest of the three and imo deserves to play for a winning team. But if he did come to Carolina, he would likely get upset at who was throwing the ball to him (because of how bad jake is).
Julius Peppers wants to leave the Panthers and go elsewhere and says if given the franchise tag he will request a trade. While not saying much he intersting in playing for a team that uses a 3-4 which wopuld include teams like Pittsburgh, New England, the New York Jets and Miami.

I was hoping for run and gun, by driveby is also a good choice.Â
Saints cut Deuce
I figured this day was coming, I wish Deuce good luck wherever he goes. I'll always remember what he did for the Saints on and off the field, a true cIass act.
geaux321
Yeah, it was bound to happen eventually. Instant Saints HoF'er. He will be sorely missed.
I guess that means Reggie will be the man..................... for about 3-5 games. :P
Must be a sign that the Saints will draft a RB in the 2nd round.
mvphalo8
They like Pierre Thomas, I think.
Bucs tag WR Antonio Bryant
From off-the-street to Franchise tag, A.B. should've been AP and PFWA's Comeback Player of the Year

They would have to trade down for that to happen. The Saints only have a 1st, two 4ths, and a 6th.

And I do think Pierre can do what Deuce was doing, he did a good job when Deuce was out.

good move. he gets contract if he can prove he wasnt a 1 year wonder. in other news(too lazy to post links)
Raiders make Shane Lechler highest paid punter in NFL history ($12 million over 4 years).
Unprecedented as it may be, this is a good move. Lechler is one of the greatest punters ever, and (sadly) the second best player on the Raiders.
Edit: The Raiders are now free to franchise tag Nnamdi Asomugha, too.

My first thoughts. I'm sure a lot of people are sad now, hoping one of these guys would have hit the FA market.

Good move. Losing him would have wreaked havoc on an already bad secondary.Â

- Peppers get the tag
- Gross signed a 6 year deal
- Panthers are broke as a joke unless they trade Peppers away

And I'm hearing your Bucs might be interested in trading for the Brown's Derek Anderson. But like you, I'm too lazy to post the link.
