Tekken 7 launched earlier this year to a positive critical reception, and SoulCalibur VI was also warmly received when it came out just recently. While each series has its own identity and style, they are both long-running fighting game franchises, each from the same publisher in Bandai Namco, so we thought we'd chat about which one we think is better.
We gave out 8/10s in our Tekken 7 review and our SoulCalibur VI review, the latter of which was written by Tamoor Hussain. Tamoor joins Dave Jewitt in Versus this week to compare and contrast these hugely popular series--watch the full video above.
Make sure to tell us your thoughts in the comments below, too. Have you been playing SoulCalibur VI? Will it replace Tekken 7 as your fighting game of choice? If you haven't yet picked up the latest SoulCalibur title--which guest stars The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia--take a look at our SoulCalibur VI US buying guide or some gameplay of every character's critical edge moves. Both games are available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
