Makes tennis respectable

User Rating: 8.8 | Top Spin XBOX
Me, being a tennis player myself, can really appreciate the realism this game has to offer, especially the professional players involved. Even though there could be more (Top Spin 2), it is nice to see many familiar faces and play as some of your more favorite players. The depth of the career mode is nice, as you can get sponsored by many different, real, tennis sponsors as you progess through the game, a lot like Tiger Woods.

Gameplay: Good but I am going to be picky. They could have came up with a better usage of meters for power on serves and groundstokes. Even though it is really hard to time if you wait, all people really have to do is tap it the right amount and you could crush the ball anywhere without much effort. Also, the shot accuracy could have been on a tougher scale as you find rallies going a long time wihthout an unforced error, which is part of the game.

Graphics: Good graphics but not the best. Its a good point of view, its good features with the fans and players but it is just not at the top. You can just sense somehting small is missing but you cant really put you finger on it. The screen shots represent the feel of the graphical game.

Sound: Nothing too great here. Good sound when the ball hits the racket with varying sound for various shots but its nothing to make you say WOW.

Value: Its a solid tennis game, and there is few of them, but tennis is just not as credible as other sports games.

Reviewer's Tilt: A very solid 9. It seems that tennis players and non-tennis players alike love this game.

Recommendation: This is a great game, and I recommend you give it a try if you have a Xbox, but if you plan on getting a 360 or if you have one, I would definitely get Top Spin 2. It has been in the making a very long time and is suposed to bring a lot to 360's table.
