Revisioning of a Remake of a Remake

User Rating: 9.5 | Super Mario Advance GBA
I was once of the first people in my group of friends to own a Game Boy Advance, and not long after I caught wind of a Mario Title for the handheld. I thought "Wow! Super Mario Advance sounds pretty cool!" So I went out and bought a copy, but low and behold. What I thought would be a completed new adventure for the beloved Italian plumber, ended up being nothing more than a revision of the Classic NES Title, Super Mario Bros. 2. Well sort of, while Nintendo could have very easily just have shoved the Original or the enhanced Super Mario All-Stars Version on the cartridge. They decided to opt against that, and pretty much redo the entire game form the ground up. Adding new enemies, and enemy placement, to new items; such as giant vegetable, bubbles containing items, and heart vegetables, to the addition of Ace Coins, and even Yoshi eggs to collect. They even had the guts to add in a new boss. Everyone of these things combined with the classic game play of the original make this a must-have for anybody with a Game Boy Advance.
