The better version of the game.

User Rating: 10 | Super Mario Advance GBA
"Super Mario Bros. 2" was originally released on the NES back in 1988. What most people got from this game was an entirely different experience than what they were use to back when they played the original. The gameplay was very different, the enemies were strange and unrecognizable, and it actually wasn't a real Mario game, but rather it was released as "Doki-Doki Panic" in Japan but Mario characters replaced the original characters for the North American release. Did people enjoy the game at least? Yes they did.

It was later ported to the SNES with a collection of other Mario games as "Super Mario All-Stars" in 1993. Finally in 2001 the game was ported to the GBA along with the original "Mario Bros" arcade game. I would actually consider this to be the better version of the original. There really is alot to offer in this game and it guarantees hours of fun like the Mario series is known for.

PROS:
-Enhanced visuals from the original game.
-Sharp control
-Wonderful music and sounds
-Characters have their own special skills
-Creative levels
-Mario Bros. arcade is a nice touch

CONS:

Overall, this game is really a must have for Mario fans and platform fans in general. Fans of the original game will most certainly not be dissapointed and newcomers will have alot to like in this game. I would also consider this as a definite must-have for your GBA collection.
