This game is crap. No classic Mario stuff like the Power Ups, Mushrooms only give you more health, you use vegetables as weapons, which is a stupid way to kill something. Every time you go to a different height in this game, the game stos so that the camera can catch up to you. The only thing you'll see that's familiar to the good 'ol Super Mario games is the characters. Yes, you finally get to play as Peach, and Toad. That pretty cool, and each one has a different advantage, like Mario is the average one (as usual) having no advantages or disadvantes, Luigi jumps high, but is slow, and isn't powerful, Peach has the worst attributes, but if you played this before, you'd know that she could fly. Toad is the most powerful, and fastest, but can barely jump! This is one good thing about the game, variety of characters
Another good thing is the story. Onstead of the same old Peach gets kidnapped, Mario finds a door that leads to the cursed world, Subcon. King Wart is the main bad guy. You will also see familiar faces like Birdo, that rat guy (forgot his name) and more. Thats not the only game that Super Mario advanced has. It has the original arcade version of Super Mario Bros. 2. But thats not really a big deal because it's not fun without a Link Cable. But if you can play with a friend, this game is awsome. I know, I've played it on the Super Nintendo.
All in all, the gameplay is crap. That alone gives you reason not to by a game.
