Well, It's a d**k move by Konami IMHO. He should allowed to attend the event.
With that said, after saw his name so many times in every opening credit on every mission in MGSV, I almost throw up once when extracted one soldier, opened the blindfolded and it turn out the soldier has face like Kojima and was named Hideo.
I used to be and adven.. err I mean a cool uncle that let my niece playing with my phone all the time, then boom, my plastic was charged with 15k yen, equivalent with 150 bucks perhaps? for whatever food on virtual animals on certain free to play game that I don't even know exist on my phone.
I'm pretty sure all the team ninja's game that I played (ninja gaiden series) were like that.
IF they implemented Dark Souls-esque clunky combat system in a game like Ninja Gaiden, your character already death three times before even move. No offense.
With that said, Team ninja's last Ninja Gaiden make me not hold my breath for this tough.

I like to quote @bdrtfm 's post that I think sum up what I really want to say since I can only speak broken english.

Still way too many apologists and people getting excited over this imo. Sony is testing PS4 owners. First they conveniently announce they are working on PS2 b/c just in time for the start of holiday shopping season. Then they release a few PS2 games at a hefty price to test the waters and see how many people bite. If they pull in a lot of dumb sucker fish, then it will be paid b/c from here on in. If people actually grow some balls, stand up and say F you Sony, this is not what we asked for, then Sony will cave and bring in true PS2 b/c for free to owners of the game. That's my take on it. It's a fishing expedition to see if anyone bites. I suggest people not take the bait. Sadly, I think I know how this is going to turn out."
