I bought my PS3 just for WIPEOUT and it delivered. I plan to get almost literally no other game for it. Shooters rock on the PC and I don't like racing games other than Wipeout. I can't really understand people's hate for the PS3 thus.
Oh hell no this thread exists! I loved Wipeout XL/2097 and I think Wipeout HD is the best in the series anyways. I have been a WO fan since the first one. The only dissapointing one till today is the piece of %&^$ that is called fusion.

PS: anyone got the chrome ships yet? I was thinking eventually of going for the "bling Brigade" trophy where everyone with chrome ship skins runs online. If not here I will do it with members of wipeoutzone.com forum.
Is someone trying to compare DOOM 3 to Crysis?.....I have lots and lots of hours on doom 3 and ressurections of doom 3 and you can check my Xfire for that but seriously...BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA to that. No way in hell. Crysis takes that cake by a long shot. It isn't even comparable. The boring textures and repeating hall ways are nowhere near the quality to even compete.
