im running windows vista(sigh) and stalker .. i have it patched to 1.0003, and when ever i try to get in the game it loads fine but when in the game all i see is the sky and i can here the characters talk but al i can see is the sky ... and nothing else . does anyone know how to fix this and has anyone had this problem b4 ?
What's the sweet spot for an 8800GTS (640mb)? I maxed it out at 1280x800 and got 13 fps...and turned some settings down and it got worse...I guess I'll have to play with it for a bit.Staryoshi87

What kind of FPS are you guys pulling down in the Performance test? Maxed out at 1280x800 I can only get 13FPS avg on my 8800GTS 640MB, and at minimum settings at that resultion I'm getting about 70FPS in the snow, 40 FPS in the cave. I'm trying to find a sweetspot here where I can get 30+ FPS with some good quality as well. Lemme know how you guys are doing.Staryoshi87
jsut turn down the shadow detail and quality to mediuum or low and it wil raise ur fps to 30 to 50 most of the time ...

i thot direct x 10 was supposed to increase the helpp increase gpu efficiency to allow for more graphical effects ... how come lost planet runs at only 30 -50 fps with an 8800gtx .... and it looks good but not super good .. what does this mean for crysis ? is this bad optimixation or drivers or what ?
