thanks for the responses guys...im not going to overclock so i guess ill go with the 6000+

if anyone owns a 6000+, is it good with gaming and doing multiple tasks like photoshop while doing a virus scan or burning a cd etc.

ATLReppa770

its graet with multiple tasks the first day i got it i installed a game , had 5 firfox windows open , played solitare and lsitend to msuic wiht under 25% cpu usage ... its a machine in multitasking

Lol, my 4200+ does that in 22% CPU Usage (on Vista Ultimate 64-bit).

EDIT: Changed font to Tahoma and actually tested my CPU Usage. It's currently ranges between 17% - 22%. This is when I'm reloading the pages (with five tabs open) and I.E. 7 64-Bit open with 7 tabs open including Vista Solitaire and WMP Playing 256KBPS music.

were u installing oblivion too?

He probably wouldn't get very far overclocking either processors.. even the FX-62 with the unlocked multiplier.

AMD's K8 architecture usually maxes out in the low 3.0GHz on air-cooling.

some people have gotten 3.5 + apparently with water.... but on air low 3's is about right still good proccessor tho

id go with the 6000+ especially if ur not gonna oc ... the fx 62 might be better or more flexible for ocing (it has an unlocked muliplier) but the 6000 is alittle faster stock

Sorry for the lack of information. My socket is AM2 and my pretensions are playing for some time in a 15" and in 3 months change to 17" using maximum resolution.

SheepNCG

i ahve the 6000=+ with a 8800gtx and everything is butter ... so i would suggest teh 6000 or teh very good 5600+ which is liek 180 bucks  i think

[QUOTE="vanillagorillap"]i get this esage when booting up with my usb ports connected and my copmuter shuts down after 20 seconds ... how do i fix this ? anyone have this problme before?353535355353535
one of the front USB ports isn't properly connected. my guess, one of the grounding wires isn't plugged in properly

there are only two wires for the usb and they appear to be in properly and everything seems ok ...
