there may not be enough power. whats your power supply? also are you sure your plugging the front ports into the right motherboard jumpers?CYSYKO

im pluggling them in right .. and i ahve a 650 watt power ssupply and i am running a flash memeory card reader too ...

when i hook up the case usb ports to my otherboard and boot up my computer it says something leik usb ports overloaded shutting down in 20 seconds ... does anyone know a way to fix this ?

haha i jsut got putting together my new rig ... i ahve the exact case and an 8800gtx ... it fits but jsut varely another 1/4 inch and youd have to take out teh hard drive rack but its fine .... its a good case

Well, RAM likely isn't the issue because most mobos will still spin the fans up even if there's no RAM at all. If the CPU is not seated properly, that -will- cause the system to immediately power off (i.e. fans won't spin). Again, do you have a speaker in your system and is it connected properly to the motherboard? It's possible your system is trying to tell you what the problem is.

unfortunatly my computer has no speaker ... but i will check the cpu

yeah the led blinks ...  maybe the cpu is sweet in improperly but i was particularly careful to make sure it was in correctly ...  maybe the mobo is fried ... thast the only thing i can think of ..

some motherboards like the one i got need 2 connections to the motherboard, make sure their both connectedArch_Demonz
yeha ive made sure a bunch of times and there is nothing else i need to connect , ive had 3 of my friends who have built a bunch of comps and they cant figure it out ,,

I've actually been amazed by the number of systems I've seen in which people simply screwed the motherboard directly to the backplate.

My experience echoes what's already been said. Generally when I hear about this issue the cause is either a mis-connected motherboard power connector or a short. Another possibility for a short is an incorrectly installed floppy drive. I had a system come into the shop one day from an irate customer who claimed we didn't test our barebones boxes adequately. It turned out that the customer had plugged the floppy power cable in one pin off, so the positive lead was plugged into a ground. The system was completely non-responsive until this was corrected.

my motherboard isnt screwed directtly to the backplate.. and im pretty sure ive checked the connections 50 times and they are all as the manuals and everydone says they are....

 i have an antec trio 650 watt power supply and an asus delux sli mobo..... amd 6000+ , 8800gtx oc'd , 4 gigs of giel ram, 500 gb hard drive

when  plug in the computer to the wall and turn it on nothing happens .. the motherboard light blinks but no fans or any else turns on .... im pretty sure everything is connected correctly but i cant find the ground wires on my case or on the mobo , anyone have any suggestins ?
