Perhaps I'm being too harsh but this game deserves a 2 out of 10. For the audio, and the visuals. The game is a complete trainwreck in every other single aspect... it is god awful.. The story is an absolute mess from mission 3 onwards. The MP side of things is the worst I've ever seen in a video game. And after the mess that was Sim City, (also an EA game) thats pretty hard to beat. Legalized gambling for kids? tieing the entire progression system to loot boxes? even in single player? The progression system the game has isn't mostly tied to loot boxes, the ENTIRE PROGRESSION SYSTEM is tied to it... The game is constantly wanting you exit the gameplay in either MP or singleplayer to look at these frakking loot boxes... Playing the story mode? BAM you get this HUGE ass notification saying you have an achievement, exit the campaign to view it as the frakking cinematic is still playing in the background...
As I said, perhaps i'm just being waaay to harsh but this game is an absolute train wreck! how it gets a 6? I feel people are giving the "actual" gameplay just far too much credit here because it's star wars, and plays on the nostalgia big time! because its such a beautiful game with the most immersive audio in a video game. But the rest of the game is as every bit as shallow as the first game was. The only gamemode that resembles any sort of awesomeness is the Galactic Star Fighter mode but half of matches are filled with bots anyway!!! I mean geezus! they didn't even add a full on bot mode for the game which is INSANE when the game ALREADY HAS THEM! The arcade mode shuts off the rewards and you gotta wait 3 fricken hours! before you can start earning anything at all...
The Heroes vs Villians is just weak, the potential is there, but they cripple that with some seriously crap light-saber action. You compare Battlefront 1 and Battlefront 2 to either Jedi Knight II: Jedi Out Cast or Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy's light saber fighting in either game and how old are those games? It's a night and day comparison.
EA Crippled the singleplayer with false advertisement, crippled the progression and multiplayer with an over-the-top-far-reaching-disgusting loot box system, and shoved a free2play wait system in offline arcade mode!
6 is just simply over-the-top in my opinion. Just saw AngryJoes review who also gave it a 6, for me, I just cannot justify that sort of score, especially with governments looking into this game's predatory exploitation of gaming for children... surely that alone has to mark several points off?
a bit late to the party... there have been several livestreams, many live drops and an a whole bunch of crypted ARG messages... You might wanna consider actually covering it properly instead of quick one-time headlines.... you won't get a better video-game based ARG than this... ever... so cover it.......

@pez2k_: they are going after ScripthookV as well as other modding hosting sites. But this info is still un-confirmed currently but apparently they are as well as a big warning when u log into GTAV. I uninstalled it so can't confirm that either.
@Nitroc: Just so you know, modding GTA came WELL before Fallout and Skyrim... so if you are trying to pass modding off as something that should be done for other games, you're sorely mistaken.... yet another person, who doesn't know the "Difference" between modding, and cheating... and yet you come to as website, who create videos about modding just about every big AAA tittle there is... if you're so ANTI modding, perhaps go to another website that doesn't support it then.... its a bit hypocritical to say that, and then keep going to a gaming site that routinely makes lets-play videos on the very subject you're so against....
If anyone seriously thinks adding in a 4k version of a car, or adding 4k vegetation and trees is cheating.... then that right there, tells a lot....

And your not the only one either, there is a bunch of you on here who clearly have absolutely no idea what you're talking about when it comes to modding, and hacking, or even know what the difference is, or even know how to write or code anything that even remotely messes around with the games code. OpenIV is not the doorway to hacking online, The mess that is the Online right now was there WELLLLLLLLL before OpenIV was even COMPATIBLE WITH GTAV. It took several months before it even WORKED WITH GTAV. To maniupulate online, you have to hack the game LIVE (meaning for all you idiots, WHILE THE GAME IS OPEN) not adding in something before you launch it... you do that, you can't even get INTO THE ONLINE portion of the game, its called ANTI-TAMPERING.... Bit like how DENUVO works as a DRM, SAME thing..... OpenIV doesn't work like that... Singleplayer Mods DONT WORK LIKE THAT.... and to all you people who are glad! I lol... You can keep spending all your $$$ on shark cards then good for you! Rest will just move on to other games.... I LOVE the way people talk like MODS are some sort of VIRUS or the second coming of the anti-christ.... yet you visit a gaming website, who has been modding games for over 10 years and had SEVERAL shows and videos with your very beloved personalities doing it, but yet, I don't see you all calling them out as cheaters?? lmao....
