So for all the fake nerds out there pretending that this is ruining your favourite comic book character:
Superman was created by a pair of liberal jews. He was specifically created as a champion of the oppressed. His first story arc in action comics #1 was called just that. In it he beats the shit out of a domestic abuse. He falls in love with lois after seeing her deck a guy who sexually harasses her. It ends with him holding defence contractor lobbyist from the roof of the capitol building and threatening to drop him.
Superman fought the KKK. In fact the story where he fights the KKK was credited by many historians as helping mainstream america understand what the KKK was and what they really stood for. Superman has always been used to promote tolerance.
His main contact on the metropolis PD was Maggie sawyer, an openly gay cop since 1988. They even had a story about her ex husband trying to prevent her from getting shared custody of her daughter. Her sexuality was referenced in the DCAU Superman show, where Sawyer's girlfriend can be seen with her in social events and waiting on her at the hospital.
Lex Luthor was inspired by Donald Trump. And I don't mean in BvS. I mean when the character was re-imagined as an evil real estate magnate in the 1980s. Darkseid is explictly inspired by fascist regimes.
He's gone through many changes over the years. He died, came back with a mullet that lasted way longer than most people remember. He got split into two beings made of energy. He got rebooted, then unrebooted. Finally was able to get married and start a family. And now his adult son (whose first appearance was in 2015) has come out as bi.
The thing that has changed was that he always stood for truth, justice (especially the social kind.) and tolerance.
The superman stories have always been woke AF. Most comics are. Most genre media is. If you have an issue with that, it isn't the comics changing, or pandering to LGBT people. It's that they aren't pandering to YOU and it took you this long to realize it.
Jon kent has only existed for 5 years. This isn't THE superman. It's his now adult son with lois who is now serving as superman while clark is doing something unrelated in space.
@Dave1927p: That 70s show had episodes condemning racism, capitalism, lack of sexual consent, gender stereotypes and homophobia. Tommy frigging Chong was a regular castmember and Hyde was openly anti establishment. Being a feminist was a huge part of donna's character.

and all I did was ask for examples. Which you won't (or more realistically, can't) provide.
So a single example from over a decade ago is the best you can come up with? Hardly an epidemic. Also, it doesn't fit. People weren't calling for the heads of the devs, it was very much using racist imagery and pretty much everyone figured almost instantly that the all japanese team used a bunch of racist tropes without knowing they were racist. Nobody delisted it, it made a crapton of money and has been released on every console generation since.
That's not how this works. If examples exist, provide them. It's not up to me to do your work for you. From where I sit, I see a bunch of people whining about a scenario then refusing to provide evidence it exists.
