Wasn't Leviathan the super secret organization we'd never heard of until around Batman Inc.? So, now there's a series coming out that's going to take care of all the superfluous secret groups out there, and they named the mystery (dare I say "secret" again) character behind it Leviathan? Is that coincidence, or some sort of meta-irony?

Yes, I'm aware that Leviathan is a mythological beast that's been storied about for centuries. I just think it's odd for a series that essentially says, "There are too many redundant, stereotypical secret orgainzations in the DC universe" and solves/addresses the situation by naming the character who resolves it after one of the more recent secret organizations in DC universe history.

It's probably the "creative control" that's causing issues. Roddenberry had a very specific idea in mind behind Star Trek, and he was very protective of it while he was alive. I would imagine the studio is a little leery to give Quentin complete control to do what he wants. I can honestly see him throwing all sort of Star Trek conventions right out the window, largely because he can.

If that's not the leading reason they're hesitant to give complete creative control over a movie to Tarantino, then it's in the top 3.
