@YukoAsho:

That's right. Ukraine wants one thing: the West to be more proactive during this war against them. Russia, however, is happy with one of two things: help them out, or don't get involved. Not getting involved it what only one side of this conflict wants. Choosing to "not get political" or whatever feeds into exactly what Putin wants. It's amazing people can't see this.

You still piss people off. It's not like choosing to stand on the line makes you any friends. Not choosing a side is choosing Russia; it's not Ukraine attacking Russia with an unprovoked invasion, after all. You're simply doing what Russia desires: 1.) Agree with them, 2.) Say Nothing.

By not condemning the attack by Russia they are following Putin's agenda. This is absolutely a choice, and no one really sees it as anything but. The real problem is their lack of a spine. If they don't want to "get political" then keep shipping your consoles to Russia and deal with the fall out. Don't cease shipping to Russia and say "logistics". What a cowardly act. Own it for what it is: blocking Russia because of their invasion.

They named the project after a slave who overthrew his masters and led the largest revolt in Roman history? Do they think THEY'RE the Spartacus? They are in for a rude awakening.

I've never seen the phrase "like Batman" in a negative context. Many of the best Batman comics are when he's ONLY Batman, and Bruce Wayne never enter. The Horizon story by itself makes me feel that the "Batman only" vibe is the right way to go. You can't really have an "alter ego" in the Horizon universe, it wouldn't make sense in a subsistence living scenario, you can't really be anything but something necessary for the Tribe, which makes a "billionaire playboy" (or any non-essential personality) really out of place.

I mean, honestly, in any of the Arkham games did anyone say, "Thank God for these Bruce Wayne levels"? No, because they sucked and were boring.

Wait... as far as we officially know right now, no humans "survived" at all right? They were all wiped out to a man, again as best we know, and were brought back through a subroutine of Gaia, right? It's hard to take this as a true history when it seems to get a major plot point wrong, right off the bat.

From some scenes in the trailers it appears that maybe some did survive, but we don't know for sure yet. Currently, I think we're still working under the belief all humanity was wiped out for an unknown amount of time before things calmed down enough to "re-birth" humans into the world.

@Atzenkiller:Ideally, yes. Theoretically you could store your in-game items on any old wallet you download off the app store (although I'd suggest getting a secure one). You could then trade/sell them to people without even being in the game. They'd probably have to create someway to actually send them to an outside wallet address, and that may not be something they're willing to do. I would imagine that, at first, it'll be different for each game or company until some kind of industry standard approach arises. Hell, if they do it right you might could even be able to see a the item itself when you look at your wallet, that's how NFT pics are anyway. I'm sure that'll appeal to some people, you could show people items you have that you're proud of, without them being in the game.

Currently, with many NFTs you can store them on any wallet you have, and trade/sell/send them like normal crypto. I created a few NFTs out of old school D&D monster drawings I made and sold them to myself to see how it worked. They sit right in my metamask wallet right next to my various crypto. I even -almost- made money off it. I made a few copies of my drawings, and before I could even purchase them for myself, someone bought them all (I was only selling them for a buck to get them myself). However, at the time the transfer fee was like $50, so I just cancelled the sale, gave myself one and just sent him the others. He immediately put them up for resale...

Lol "one of the most realistic". I mean, it's a great image and all, but "realistic"... no, I don't think so. Granted, all those many, many stories of the traveling band of Shakespearean actors that brightened peoples lives during WWII are inspiring but... What? There were no traveling bands of actors during WWII? Well, I'm probably thinking of the many, MANY stores of traveling bards during the time of the Black Plague... No stories about traveling actors during the Plague years? Outrageous! You mean people in the middle of subsistence living and global tragedy aren't willing to give some of their hard grown food to a bunch of strange LARPers? There is absolutely no way that paranoia doesn't reign during something like The Last of Us. Anyone who gets infected could turn? Yeah, no way people are letting roaming strangers in who can't provide something more useful than play acting. I don't know about Station Eleven, but in TLoU the danger is still present and constant. People were isolated and rarely left a 30 mile radius of their birth town a few hundred years ago, that kind of living would definitely return in such an environment.

How is the show "realistic"? I get that it's hopeful, and that it's how we may want humanity to act, but it doesn't seem likely. It might be entertaining and a good story, but it's not based on any realism I'm aware of. I was in the military and helped out in Katrina. That wasn't even close to the end of the world, but a traveling band of actors would not have done well. Even actors in ancient Rome and Greece didn't fully flourish until they had a stable society and economy to afford people whose contribution to society was entertainment. The world of TLoU isn't anywhere near that level of stability yet.

@Mommas_b_o_y: That's how I'm starting to feel. I like the Rock, but I'm being to reach saturation levels with him. He's basically everywhere now, I could use a break. Nearly 20 years ago I was living in Tokyo and people on city buses were asking me, "When the Rock says, 'Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?' what does that mean, he isn't cooking anything?" Go ahead and explain that a dozen times. And it hasn't stopped since

@thecupidstunts: I don't know, at the time the first triple X movie came out, that was alright. He was still pretty new at the time and it was like a more extreme James Bond. Nothing fantastic or anything, but I remember it being a fun watch in the theaters.

I can't watch it now though...
