The only DLC that I've come across as a good buy are Fallout DLC. Stuff that gives you additional gameplay. Most games only offer decal DLC and IMO it's not worth spending an extra $10-15 to have a character wear something different.
I have been a PC gamer for years but one thing I never did was jump on the multi-video card bandwagon. It's honestly a money pit. The next generation of video card by itself is always superior than the previous generations SLI/Crossfire setup. Also the top end video card from either manufacturer can play the lastest & greatest games at near maxxed settings anyway.
If you're going to play multi-platform games then 360 is the way to go. The only reason I'd buy a PS3 is for exclusivity of the games, and maybe for a blue ray player; which I guess is reason enough to just get a PS3, considering as how they're selling for like $100 more than a 360.
PC graphics are sharper/cleaner then the other two. PS3 has stuff pretty blurry. 360 is a little better but still blurry in the closeup screenshot. Both consoles have bad boxy pixels especially in shot with the grass on the left. The PC is always going to have the upper edge in gaming. With console gaming you're stuck with the technology that came with the console. With the PC you can always buy better parts to improve your gaming quality. The PS3 is a good machine, but it doesn't have the power of a Radeon HD 5770.
DRM will always exist, and so will pirating. Blizzard made the right choice to go into the MMORPG and charge people per month to play on their servers. Online gaming will always be the cash cow because there's really no free alternative. Even you're big name free servers that people play on still have tons of glitches/bugs that still cause many gamers to break down and actually pay for the real thing. My only horror is that all of these companies stop altogether making stand alone games and all we have to choose from is some sort of online gaming.
