@sparent180: No kidding, especially considering the fact they aren't aiming to negotiate exclusives. That's got to be the biggest draw anymore since all systems are basically pumping out the same functions to their users.

Mostly.

@geminij13: I totally agree with you on the exclusives thing. My only issue with what you had to say was that you were questioning how they would secure exclusives. They already said they aren't going to try to do that, which I honestly think is a huge mistake. I buy Playstation and Nintendo because the exclusives offered on those platforms are generally more in line with my tastes. If a console isn't offering exclusive experiences then I have next to no incentive to shell out the cash.

I don't think you needed to be more specific – I just didn't want you to assume they weren't doing it by choice. I feel like both of my comments have come off kind of dickish, and that's definitely not my intention.

Like I said, I agree with you on every point you've made, including the need for exclusives. I think it's hugely important. And trying enter the console landscape without them seems like a death wish. With nothing unique to draw a base you're essentially just writing your own obituary.

@geminij13: I agree with everything you've said except the exclusives bit. Pretty sure he already came out and said they won't have any exclusives. Leaving it totally up to the developers to decide whether or not to make a game exclusively for the Mad Box.

I'm with you though, I have no desire to jump on something new, regardless of performance or price point. Without a community or any ground to stand on it's going to be extremely difficult to stay afloat. Which means I'm likely wasting money on a product that gets very little support after year 1.

@zerofrust: Good choice. Don't let review scores dictate what you're interested in. If it looks good, play it! I can't tell you how many times I've loved a movie or game that got critically panned.

People can complain all they want, but I really enjoyed this movie. Not a huge fan of the show, but the movie had me cracking up a majority of the time.

@sebb: Oh, I totally feel you there. I typically despise playing on line in anything and the only reason I ever tried TLoU multiplayer was for the trophies (sad, I know) and because a bunch of my friends wanted to try it out. It hooked me pretty quickly.

Forget about Call of Duty or Battlefield. Battlefront too. I get fed up playing online against people because people are typically dumb. I like having control of my gaming experience. But sometimes a multiplayer experience comes around that I can't get enough of. TLoU, Killzone Shadowfall, and Mass Effect 3 are about the only multiplayer modes I've played an extensive amount of. Everything else can just go away.
