Wait, didn't a people in Ancient Greece have relationships with men and women, sometimes at the same time? So, if you can have homosexual relationships throughout the rest of the experience but are forced to have a heterosexual relationship to keep to the story the writers want to tell, what the hell is the problem?

@toffifee: I think there's a difference there because one option encroaches on religious beliefs and the other just makes people feel bad.

@Barighm: I almost imported it from Japan until I stumbled on a hidden article talking about a NA release.

So glad it was localized here. It's one of my favorite games of all time and I would gladly drop the funds required to purchase a remastered version. It would be incredible if Sony gave it the same treatment as the Shadow of the Colossus remake.

@REDShadowG: It's called starting out ambitiously and paring back to be more direct about the game you're trying to make and the story you're trying to tell. To me that is great direction. To realize you have too much for what you're trying to do and make the conscious decision to scale it back rather than make the experience more convoluted.

Why is streamlining so dirty?

@sparent180: I read or heard somewhere that while they were coming up with the story there was enough content for 3 games the size of what we got.

Barlog was talking about how they just kept coming up with ideas they wanted to implement and eventually took a step back realizing they had way too much content for a single game. This whole boss fight information sounds like it's expanding on those comments. Based on the content they had dreamed up, the critical reception, and the number of sales it generated I can almost guarantee we haven't seen the last of the "rebooted" God of War.

@RaveNRolla: Honeslty I think replayability will be totally fine. I've never been big on the online aspect of the games anyway, and I found invasions only frustrated me and hindered my progress. As the series went on I found myself playing offline much more than online to avoid the hassle. And I still managed to get 2-4 play throughs on all the games with the exception of Demon's Souls, which I've played like 10 times.

I'm glad you're still excited for this one though. It's definitely at the top of my most anticipated games of the year.

@batusai4ever: Nah, I care still, and so do a lot of others. Just because you don't happen to care doesn't mean the rest of us don't.

In my opinion Barlog will almost always be relevant for what he accomplished with God of War.
