[QUOTE="imprezawrx500"]it will help quite a bit, byt why bother with the aftermarket headsink when your are on a tight budget? the stock amd coolers are fineWesker776
Black Editions don't come with a stock HSF.
OP, your rig currently has neither the CPU or GPU processing power to run Crysis smoothly on "High" settings. Even with a faster dual core CPU, you'll still have some trouble running Crysis on "High" because your video card isn't up to the challenge.
Also, if you've already beaten Crysis, why on earth are you trying to do a 'half upgrade' just to get better performance in Crysis? I still don't understand why so many people are willing to spend $300 for a shoddy upgrade just for Crysis...
Anyway, my recommendation: Save up some more cash, stick to your 7950 GT for a while longer and purchase a Wolfdale/G92/R700 system.
it's not just crysis, its new games in general. assassins creed for example has a mininum requirement of a dual core cpu.
im a big gamer and since oct and nov ive been wanting an upgrade.
if im able to play crysis with objects, shaders, and shadows on stock med settings and the rest on high after this upgrade ill be more than satisified.
