The game's strength is built on its tight progression and storytelling.

I don't want them to make this anything like Skyrim, it doesn't need an open-ended world, "customization" or extra stuffing.

(god, I'm tired of people talking about skyrim, that easy, empty sterile gameworld couldn't be any more overrated)

What it needs is greater length. Witcher 2 would be perfect if it wasn't so short.

The last thing I want them to do is make this game more generic. Just make the game longer. Take the uniqueness & strengths of Witcher 2 and build on them, don't try to "broaden the appeal". I trust them to get this right.

@Lausanna It's okay bro. You always gotta look at who wrote the article. It's a chick. From Australia. She likes Halo. Always consider the perspective: journalists are not experts, they are hired guns. Or hired waterguns in this situation.

I love the "old-school pioneering designer leaves compromised corporate giant to start new company" angle, but it doesn't work here. Let's face the truth: Torchlight sucks. It is the most inane childish immature pathetic Diablo knock-off I've ever seen. Even Dink Smallwood is better!

So why is this article even about Torchlight vs Diablo? I'm not worried about how Diablo 3 will turn out at all. It will be excellent... excellent in the same smooth, feverishly addictive, flashy, pretty, intensely playable style of WoW and Starcraft II. I have faith that Blizzard will make Diabo III as amazing and fun as it is addictive and hypnotizing. I have no doubts about it. We will get what we pay for... and then some. More Pandas will commit suicide to play Diablo 3 than any event in RL history.

If I never played this game I would be thankful that I get to spend more of my life not staring at a screen. And that's proof enough.
