I guess I'm really good at using my imagination then. Sure, I'm being nostalgic, but I think Daggerfall had stronger integrity and better artistic values. The MIDI tunes were better-composed and more immersing than any of the stale orchestral tracks in the later games. The 2D sprites looked better than any of the awkward, annoying characters (always with the same voice actors) in the subsequent games.

It is palpable that it was designed by completely different humans with different values and greater creative prowess than Morrowind and all its sequels, and it shows. They should have just renamed the series.

In fact, this team at Bethesda butchered the Fallout franchise in a way that is identical. Isn't Fallout 3 eerily similar to Oblivion and Skyrim? Maybe it's just me but I REALLY don't like Todd Howard's style.

Oh, and by the way, when is Gamespot going to fire this "Feedbackula" clown? He was never funny and his show is completely irrelevant and uninformative. What exactly is the point of this.

Oh how the Elder Scrolls name hath been butchered and exploited. The true Elder Scrolls was Daggerfall: a hell of an ambitious, innovative game that was intriguing and fun in its time. Then a new design team came along and bastardized the Elder Scrolls name for decades to come. Gradually, with every release, the franchise became dumber, simpler and more generic. Most importantly, lacking of character. Looks like they've reached the height of boring, trite and unoriginal by turning it into an MMO! Blatant money grab. Hopefully this fails miserably.

Stop exploiting a franchise name that you didn't create! Its sickening. I'm not sure if anyone but old school gamers who played Arena/Daggerfall growing up will understand what I'm talking about.

Remember what Julian LeFay wrote in the Daggerfall manual? THIS is what Elder Scrolls was meant to be. What it has become is something entirely compromised and different from the original vision of the series' true creator.

What is the point of "Feedbackula" anyways? British voice acting that's supposed to make me laugh? Is this clown just trying to support Gamespot's sponsors by downplaying genuine concerns fans have about the declining quality of games?

I do not understand the purpose of this series at all, seeing as this couldn't even make me smirk.

@lilflipp LoL as if game reviewers are objective anymore. Especially here in Gamespot, the editorial is infected with youngsters with journalism degrees with no history or experience in gaming who just happened to land a job.

They hired some clueless chick to review Diablo III and even she couldn't give it more than an 8!

Gaming is little better than Hollywood movies now. 90 percent of everything's that's being released is owned & compromised by mega companies like EA, Activision, etc.

It's for the best I suppose, let this broken industry fail. I'm done wasting my time playing video games.

Here's a fun story:

The day Diablo III came out, when I still had faith in Blizzard, I went straight to Gamestop after work to purchase it.

The cashier said "SOLD OUT THAT GAME IS HOT HOT HOT"

A little bummed, I figured I would just come home and wait out the digital download.

Less than a week later, I gladly got a refund for the game which I wouldn't have been able to get with a physical copy.

-Hundreds of dollars poorer from years of WoW subscription fees.

But 60 dollars richer!

NO MOAR MONEY FOR U BLIZZ

What the- this is an official gamespot review? I am flabbergasted.

Who the heck hired Jason Venter?

To Gamespot:

If you don't fire this guy immediately, I will stop taking you seriously.

Puzzles aren't supposed to be easy, it's called a "challenge" I know you're used to everything being handheld and linear now.

Ahh now I see that he writes reviews for random lesser-known games such as "Lego Lord of the Rings". Looks like negligence and poor quality assurance on Gamespot's part.

Fair 'nuff. You go to a Justin Bieber concert and tell them that Justin Bieber sucks, you're bound to run into a fan that disagrees.

Okay Johnny, how about this for feedback. Feel free to take this comment and act it out in your sarcastic British nerd voice, because everyone finds it so darn hilarious.

This entire episode is you doing some pointless voice acting. I watched the whole thing, and now I feel like I just ate some Taco Bell.

What was the point of this video? Comedy? It barely made me smirk.

Readers, I urge you to go check out xRazorFistx aka rageaholic on youtube.

Here's his review of Dishonored: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krmPIA8peHg (much funnier, and actually has a point)

He blows this Johnny guy out of the water.

Goes to show ya how an indie endeavor is far more effective than some bloke that the Gamespot corporation decided to hire, who just happens to get far more exposure.

I am so relieved that designers still dare to innovate.

What's going on with Bioshock Infinite, and the philosophy behind the game design blows nearly all other modern games out of the water.

Notice how much he talks about innovation, and its importance for keeping the game experience fresh.

This concept is LOST on most game designers nowadays. I remember getting into arguments on forums with people who are actually AGAINST innovation because "innovation is risky". I don't care how compromised by marketing a company might be, if they release a hand-holding been-there-done-that RPG (such as Skyrim, Dishonored, etc) with "gotta make money" as an excuse for why it sucks... I would say Infinite $h!ts all over them!!!

p.s. the amount of overrated, boring, easy, cut-scene-obsessed cakewalk games getting 9s and 10s is appalling, especially on sites like Gamespot, whos' reviews I used to trust.
