@raugutcon: That's kind of how I feel. I had an xbox before a PS2, got the PS2 later when GOW came out. Loved GOW but didn't really enjoy the other hyped exclusives I played(I'm looking at you ICO). I got a 360 first last gen, got a PS3 for GOW and once again felt the exclusives were underwhelming and overhyped. I got an xbox one this gen(the kids love the dance games). Normally this is where I get the playstation console to play GOW and whatever exclusives I've heard were so great. GOW doesn't even seem like a GOW game at this point to me, so I probably won't be getting a PS4 at this time. It just feels to me like all the hyped ps4 exclusives all seem to be the same basic genre with familiar characters and settings cut and pasted in. They have high production values and look pretty, but the gameplay seems generic. It's like they make them specifically to what gets rated highly and forget about great gameplay and fun.

@calvincfb: the xbox one x is objectively more powerful than the playstation 4 family. Any playstation 4 exclusive would be even better on x1x. God of war is one of my favorite series, but this isn't a God of war game. It may be a fabulous game, but it isn't god of war.

I noticed your post title got cut off. The only thing xbox has is backwards compatibility, the strongest hardware, the best controller, the best online service, digital games you don't have to rebuy every generation, and plenty of games you can't play on any other console. I hate when posts get cutoff. You're welcome for fixing it for you.

@tormentos: the xbox had every thing you needed to play games included. To get the same game functionality out of the ps2 required a multitap a hdd, and a network adapter. You had to make a day one purchase of a overpriced proprietary memory card to simply be able to save a game at all! And even after making those purchases you were still left with a system that was much less powerful.

@AcidTango: the first game to come to my mind was giants citizen kabuto. It was made by former shiny employees.

@commander: the 360 cpu wasn't designed for games. It was about the only desktop cpu architecture that was available for them to use to base their cpu design on that they would actually own. Intel and amd would only sell them completed chips not a design. That's why it was based on ppc. Simply so they could save money over the lifespan of the 360. It had nothing to due with performance which lagged significantly behind x86

And they can spam countless posts of you previously hyping the resolution/power differences and now downplaying them. It is so ironic that one of the people screaming so loudly about this behavior is one of the worst offenders of it.
