@Barighm: The Souls series is not only increasingly popular with each installment (Dark Souls 3 hit over 3 million last I checked), they are very well designed games. Beyond that, no one exists in a vacuum: some developers choose to wear their influences on their sleeves more than others, sure, but the process of making new, great games isn't throwing ideas at the wall--it's learning what did and didn't work from the games that came before.
@nikolistary: Probably people who want to play those games. Personally, I see Asura's Wrath, Dead Rising 2, Guilty Gear, Megaman 9/10, and Ragnarok Odyssey Ace on that list alone. I don't have PSNow, but some people would have a field day with this, especially if they didn't have a PS3 or earlier system.
@BrunoBRS: He's not kidding. The Brazil Catholic Church owns the licencing rights of the statue, and possibly the statue itself (though I can't remember that part for sure).
@arqe That's because the PS3 was a pain in the ass to develop for with it's Cell processor bullcrap. The only games that made use of the tech were exclusives, because why would devs of multiplatform games bother? This time around, both systems are basically identical in architecture and the specs are much closer.
