Here are the rules... - Arcade downloads are tied to both your gamertag and console. - If you are offline on that console, you can play the games fine. - If you move your HDD to another console, you must be online and signed into Live with the gamertag that you DL'd the content with in order for you access it fully. - If you are on that second console and are offline, even if you are signed in under your gamertag, you won't be able to access the content fully. (I.E. trial version of game) - If you want to tie your DL'd content to another console, you must go through the License Transfer Process.DJ_Magneto

thanks.... so i might as well just take my whole console up there then, instead of just the hard drive, lol.... i DL a load of demos today... Bioshock kinda scared me. :-/ looks really cool tho

Got a 360 a few months ago, havent been on XBL yet... my roommate has his connected online upstairs.... i assume i can simply bring my hard drive up there n plug it up to his and download stuff onto it, right? But if i want to buy an arcade game, like Marvel vs Capcom 2, it will be my game on the hard drive to play offline back downstairs in my room, right? ... may sound like a dumb question, just with the "Live" and "Arcade" words, it may sound like some XBL games you only play online or online multiplayer... thanks in advance

okay, my son is a gamer and his favorite games are the Mario ones, Lego ones, and Kingdom Hearts on the PS2 (which isnt a traditional RPG, just hack n slash n i think i took care of equipping his new abilities and armor, etc)... I think he'd love a good RPG that he could read and play on his own, but since he's only 7, i'm looking for the most kid friendly one. The new Final Fantasies, TWEWY, and Chrono Trigger look like great games i would play, but i dont have a DS and my son doesnt live with me, so what are ya'll suggestions?

ps. this thread is specifically asking for a suggestion with a 7 year old in mind for a newcomer to the genre, not general suggestion, so hopefully it wont get closed.

thanks for the reply, though the http://www.canirunit.com/ site said everything else with my system passed the requirements for GTA4.

Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86GHz rated at 4.19GHz speed

3 gigs RAM

358 MB of video RAM

Windows Vista

in the meantime, i'll look up games with those graphics engines, thanks.

I got a new laptop with a fast processor, lots of ram, but a crappy video card (built in, that i cant upgrade)... my old game Guild Wars plays beautifully on it, even though www.canirunit.com says my video card isnt compatible with that game, or any game for that matter, so i cant really trust that site... i thot i read somewhere beforehand the system specs for running the new GTA4 would be low, but apparently not, becuz i cant play that game. Does anyone know what types of newer games released in the last year or two i can play on this video card before i waste money doing trial and error?

While those games may have crisper graphics, they aren't going for as much of a "realistic" feel as RE4. Even Metroid Prime, while one of the most beautiful games I've seen on the Gamecube, doesn't have super realistic graphics. Same goes for Sunshine. RE4 strives for more realistic graphics and as a result, they aren't as crisp because the Gamecube has it's limitations when it comes to that realistic feel. Wolblade
ya, i'm sure thats the difference i'm talking about

So i just picked it up for the GC, and expected to be blown away since it gets the most votes on here whenever someone does a "best graphics" thread, but in all honesty, i think the graphics are only "pretty good", comparable to Twilight Princess. As far as sharpness goes, there are plenty of games with crisper graphics on the cube IMHO, like Mario Sunshine, Rogue Leader, Metroid Prime, SSBM, Star Fox Adventures, but most importantly, Soul Caliber 2. dats my 2 pennies.
